I guess that is what you could almost call this house right now. School has consumed so much of my time, more than I’m even comfortable with. But that’s how it goes, when you, for once, actually do your assignments properly. Oh well.

I have one more assignment for this partcourse, which I’ll wrap up tomorrow and then I’ll finish as many as possible as soon as possible after that, despite their due date being a lot later. Love being done early. I also got the last christmasgifts bought today, and that makes me SO happy and thrilled. No stress, nothing! Love it.

Aside that, this weekend I’ll also start look into the new releases of Orden Ogan and Serious Black. I got both albums sent to me about a week or so ago, but I haven’t gotten into it just yet. Serious Black’s I’ve listened to a bit, and I like it a lot! Next up is Orden Ogan, and then the writing process will begin.

But for now, bed time. Somewhat long day in school tomorrow. Aaah.

Wheeee! Today has been EFFIN GREAT! Why?

Because of this!

Say Hello to Vermillion, or perhaps, Vermillia, if you like. (Milli). After a few ifs and buts and a few panik attacks later, I realized I was in need of a pet. And the best pet in the world, as everyone knows, is the hamster. She’s a black goldhamster with white stains on her tummy.

This picture was taken in the car. As soon as we left the petstore, she started biting and chewing like INSANE on the cardboard, and she even got THIS FAR when we weren’t even close to be home yet. Gladly, she didn’t escape or anything and she’s spent all day running around and settling down in her new home. Now she’s passed out, and I can understand that, haha.

Aside this, not a whole lot more than school and last minute schoolassignments has been done. Why is it always so rushy right before xmas? Gaah.

Seriously guys, I’m really so so so sorry that I haven’t been able to produce interesting material for you all to read lately, but I promise you, as soon as this week is over, I’ll get right to it!

Spent the day today at Ingesund trying to do some voice overs, but seriously… WE NEVER GET THE SECOND CONTROLROOM TO WORK AND I’M GOING INSANE OVER IT. So we ended up automating some of the voiced tracks and merging them together to get less tracks to the actual clip before saying FUCK THIS SHIT and going for a snack. We’ve now booked the big control room and I hope to fucking god that we will get some shit done then. Because it’s getting on my nerves now.

Besides that, I noticed Ace Frehley is coming to Gröna Lund this summer. I am so going. I hope. It’s like, two days before Graspop which makes it kinda perfect in a way if you think about it… Ahh, I love how the concert season are getting itself together all by itself!

But now, bed. Short day at Ingesund tomorrow, but long day all in all.

Have spent pretty much ALL DAY finishing off the business plan for the fictitious record label I made for school, and we finally got all the numbers to make sense! Gladly, I’m not as stupid as I thought I were. Haha, sorry. Aside that I’ve also been thinking a lot of next years tour plan.

Like, there are sooo many bands out touring. Lordi, SlipKnot, Sabaton, HammerFall, Amaranthe, H.E.A.T, Steel Panther… We really have all the opportunities in the world to really get around, visit new countries and seeing a LOT of shows. I have a hard time deciding what shows to do, which to prioritize and such. And then the festival summer… I have already planned Sweden Rock and Skogsröjet, and most likely Graspop Metal Meeting. But then Väsby has Danger Danger coming, so now I’m just scattered all over the place. Why did 2015 have to become so epic gig wise? I need to think about a lot of things, and perhaps consult a person or two about what I’m going to do. But this will work out. Somehow. I know it.

Now though, I need to go to bed. Tomorrow is going to be another long day at Ingesund, and most importantly, we are starting to finalize the project! Gonna be awesome.

Been an awesome day I must say, I met up with the one and only: Paula! It’s been QUITE some time since we met, like, this spring or so, so I was so happy to see her face again! We got to a coffeeshop close to the train station and sat down and just talked for a couple of hours about everything and nothing, catching up and laughing over some chocolate cake and soda.

We also exchanged christmas gift. I gave her a CD I can’t name on here because of reasons, and what did I get from her? The most amazing things ever!

A Frozen themed towel and the re-armed versions of Sabaton’s “Attero Dominatus” and “The Art of War”. THANK YOU SO MUCH PAULA! It’s all much, much, MUCH appreciated!

After a little while we had to wrap up our meeting and go our separate ways. I hope to see her soon again! I have spent the rest of the evening writing a business plan for a record label and I’m literally drowning in numbers right now. And I’m going to drown in even more numbers, as I’m about to head to work…

Ahhh, this day has been so long! Got up already at 4 this morning to get over to school to start prepping for todays studiosession. We were a bit clueless, since we hadn’t got detailed specifications on what drum set we were to used, but it turned out to be something very similar to what we already had in the studio! I was a happy panda.

Set up when fairly quickly and for once in my life I DID master the DM2000. Nothing is going to stop me now, that’s for sure. The ‘band’ we recorded was pretty cool – they had some real sweet tunes and they were a blast to work with. We got four songs done, so I couldn’t be more pleased! Next week we’ll start mixing the things and I’m just thrilled about the whole thing. I’m sorry I can’t tell you much more about the process or project, but this is technically an examination project for school so I’ll keep a bit quiet about it. But yes! Long day gets longer, as I’m just about to head to work now. Haha, oh the life sometimes.

“Akhenaton” is a track off Serious Black’s new album coming out in January. I’ve just got the album for review, and I really like it so far! Review will be up a lot later.

Right now, it feels like I’m running out of time with EVERYTHING. Tomorrow we have this big thing coming out way – we are going to record a band “on our own” in the studio – me and Sara alone. Our teacher will be there, but we are supposed to take care of it ourselves. I’m nervous as hell, but on the same time I feel calm. I’m not too familiar with the studio yet, but I think we’ll be able to work most of the things out as we go. We got a good plan lined out so far, so I’m confident we will survive. I hope.

On top of that I’m also working tomorrow night, it’s my first time working on a Thursday. Really looking forward to it, but it doesn’t exactly help my problems with making time count! Oh well. I should stop worry about that, and start packing for tomorrow. I’m leaving home already at 4.30 to make sure to get everything ready… Oh the things you do for your education sometimes.

Today = hectic. I started off the morning fairly early with a doctors appointment for my heart condition. It was all good, just as usual. After that I got on the bus directly to Ingesund in order to continue with the voice over project we started last week. “Unfortuneatley” we had managed to plan this in the middle of my class, so I had to get out to get to class for a moment.

After that we had a quick dinner before continuing. We started off by re-recording ALL of my vocals for Joey, and directly afterwards starting with the first tests for Sid and Corey. Mick is 99% done since last time – we only have  a few more extras to do, and most importantly, we need to redo the absolute best part… haha, oh god.

After finishing up the three (four) character we decided to bounce out the test to start putting it together. It was difficult for us to see what else we needed to fill in and what sound levels to put in when we couldn’t SEE the finished thing – and it was beyond hilarious. I hope this will turn out as good and fun as we’ve had recording it.

Next week we’re getting at it again. However, I will sure as hell keep myself busy this week – I plan to wrap up all my assignments this week. And it should be possible. Should be.
