It was a pretty slow day today, I spent it mostly with finishing up some delayed assignments, so to put it, some laundry and just chill. And before I knew it, I found myself watching a Korpiklaani livestream.

The stream was from the In Extremo 20 years jubileum festival, live right from Loreley. It was a 50 minute set, and it was a pretty good setlist, if you ask me. To begin with, it wasn’t very different from Noch Ein Bier as far as the first few songs went.

Sadly, I didn’t write down the setlist in it’s whole, but a nice surprise, if you ask me, was “Ruumiinmultaa”. “Ruumiinmultaa” has always, alongside “Sumussa Hämärän Aamun” been a big favorite of mine off “Manala”, but since the album is pretty “old” nowadays, I was never expecting to hear a lot of material from the album in question, and even less so my favorites (you guys know about the curse) so hearing this really made me smile, widely. I was watching the stream together with my mother so I wasn’t really in a state to jump around, but else I’m positive I would have.

I was also very happy about them doing “Joudaan Viina” which was a song I really missed at Noch Ein Bier, and as long as they keep this setlist for the upcoming tour, or at lest have it fairly similar, the tour will be great. I might actually even have to consider going to Oslo.

Decisions, decisions.

Well, this day did indeed become a lot better by this surprise livestream. Now I’m thinking about trying to catch Eluveitie’s livestream tomorrow as well. I guess we’ll see.

So, I’ve made this little deal with myself, that from now on in order to release some stress and chill out, to end my days at 18. So all applications for work, planning for work and such things, and even work (‘cept the one at the night club) shall be finished at 18 sharp, and if I’m not done by that time, I’ll just continue tomorrow unless it’s something urgent.

You see, I have an old habit from when I was in university where I’d punish myself if I didn’t study properly. Like, I still have The Sims 3 games that are unopened, because I didn’t feel like I deserved to play them because I didn’t study good enough and so on. This became a bad spiral. As I constantly felt I was bad and never enjoyed stuff, I never felt inspired to actually study, and therefore I got even worse results in school.

But since I don’t really study anymore, but work, and therefore actually EARNED the money, I do deserve it. But, old habits die hard and even to this day I still hold back from doing things because I feel I don’t deserve it.

And I need to stop this. Need to learn how to relax. Which is hard as hell, but I’m getting there. So sitting here, slowly scrolling through Tumblr and listening to Taylor Swift is a good start, don’t you think? Seriously, metal in all its glory, but nothing calms me down like Taylor Swift and Olly Murs.

Seriously, today has been a handy day. Today has been the day when I finally did something about my cozy corner, the corner I cuddle up in whenever I feel like reading a nice book or watch a movie.

For those of you who doesn’t know, I have a bunk bed. So my bed is up the roof, and underneath I have a filled bookcase with a lot of books and fanta bottles, a desk with my gramophone and design books and a small sofa that can be folded into a bed. And it’s this sofa that I turn into a cozy area. What I have done in the past, is pulling it out half way, so I can sit in it and have my legs straight, but not having the entire bed out (which consumes so much space).

However, there’s a big piece of wood that has been in the way, making things uncomfortable. So I bought two cheap big and soft pillows, wrapped around and clad it in an old blanket of mine… and this is what heaven feels like. I can now sit here and watch movies and not worry about neckpains! It’s amazing.

So on tomorrows agenda, I need to get fabric to dress this in. Question is, Zebra or Leopard?

Today started off with the most horrible experience with the local buscompany probably ever. I’m not sure how ok it is for a busdriver to look someone in the eye, shake their heads and deny you entrance, but don’t worry people, we are having a dialogue with the company about it.

So, essentially, my supposed to be three hours of sleep became me watching the end of “New Moon” and sleeping for an hour before going to the stable.

It was a usual day at the stable, although this is probably the first time I’ve ever had to walk up to a horse, inspect it closely and say “You must be new here”. You see, 90% of our big horses are brown to the extent you can barely tell them apart, and, embarrassingly enough, there was a gelding I had no clue who he was. And then, the majority of our ponies are white. You can tell them apart pretty easily – except from the new one. I literally mistook every single white pony for being him until I found what set him apart.

After this I booked some jobs, had a nice dinner and watched “Eclipse”. They are really on the television next week, but seeing “Twilight” and “New Moon” sparked my interest. Tomorrow, “Breaking Dawn pt1”

I spent most of my day today cleaning out my wardrobe. And what I mean by this, is that I take out all the clothes clean it with floor cleaner, and then I put shit back in. All was good until I reached the band-shirt section.

Because seriously, that is the one that takes the most time. To start with, I was surprised to see how many shirts would actually come out of that. No matter how much I threw around shirts, they seemed to crow like dandelions. Cleaned it out, and then I started putting all the things back again… Which is a smaller hell.

First of all, you need to basically sort them – unisex and female, as far as fits go. And if I have a certainly customized piece, I usually put it aside as well. It’s important to sort after fitting, so you know where to grab a tight shirt and where to grab a shirt that is so big you can live in it.

After this you fold them, roll them up – so you see what print it is, and what size the shirt is. And then it’s time to stack them. And this my friends, is the tricky part.

And the only reason it’s actually tricky, is because I had more shirts incoming that had to be pressed down in an already full drawer. But after twisting, pressing, pushing and some headbanging to Butcher Babies, I found myself getting all the shirts down.

I’m just waiting for the day when I can have an entire wardrobe with only bandshirts, and sort them by bandname instead. Because yes, I got all the shirts down… but when I was going to get a shirt a little later, I failed to find any I wanted to wear, because presumably, I managed to put all my faves in the bottom…

So, first of all, this has been a hectic day, starting out early with trying to find some sort of thing I can practice on, and wound up with my Guitar Hero set. Seriously, the only bad ways are the non existing ways. So we went off to rehearsals and… we’re just gonna practice a bit more before we start kidding ourselves.

After this it was right off to the stable for a dressage lesson on the best horse in this entire world, Donna. Went ok. It frustrates me that she loses focus so easily, and I don’t know how to maintain her focus. Bah. It’ll be something to work on.

But you know what, forget everything about non focusing Donna and bad rehearsals, guess what finally arrived today?

A couple of days delayed, but it did still arrive a lot sooner than I expected it to come! I’ll tell you tomorrow what I thought about the album, I’ve just finished another work application and since I’ve been up and running since 9 this morning I’m very, very read, to hit bed.
