Phineas&Ferb: Last Day of Summer

Posted in Phineas&Ferb, Uncategorized on November 29, 2015 by Sara Hammerzmith

This, my friends, is a day I’ve dreaded for a year or so now. And to make it even worse, I lost DisneyChannel and DisneyXD for quite some time, and I was certain I’d miss out on it. And I did miss out on the DC premiere, but not the DXD premiere.

So, as the title suggest, Last Day of Summer – it’s the last, very last episode ever of Phineas & Ferb. All good things comes to an end I guess, and even so Phineas&Ferb.

Crisps, dip, candy and Perry the Platypet accompanied me what would probably do it, for this very last episode.

SPOILER ALERT BENEATH

So, since us non-native English countries, this comes a little later than in the US, so I rule it as fairly safe to write about it here. Phineas and Ferb and the gang decides to build the biggest and most amazing thing they did all summer – and of course, Candace tries to bust them but fails. Instead, she decides to return some DVD’s to Vanessa, leading her to Doofenshmirtz Evil Inc. Once here, she talks a bit with Heinz while Vanessa makes tea, leading up to Candace finding out he had a repeat-the-day-inator, which repeats the day. She activates this, with Doof also in the bubble, and the day keeps repeating itself.

However, playing the the time and space quantuum, there’s always going to be bad sides – occasionally, a rip in time and space appears, and anything that disappears, disappears in a way that no one remembers them. After a while, the whole gang is stuck in the other time-dimension, trying to get back. However – there’s a catch. As the days are repeated, they get shorter and shorter, and once they get out of the rip, they have mere seconds to fix everything. Candace throws a spoon and managed to save the entire Tri-State-Area. The whole show is wrapped up in a song about everything that has happened these past four seasons, and it was… quite emotional in a way.

So, what do I think about this episode? Well.. It’s good. And it was emotional. But I must still admit… There has been better. You can sort of tell they were running out a bit of ideas – I mean hell, “Mission Marvel” was a big hit if we are going to compare special episodes. Maybe it’ll grow on me, maybe it won’t…

But it feels weird. That it’s over and done. I’ve even started to notice it already – how little Phineas & Ferb airs on Disney Channel, and this is what I was afraid of. It going away completely. Gladly, DXD has marathons every day these days.. I hope I manage to catch “Act Your Age” at least.

Anyway. Swampy, Danny and crew – Thank you for these four seasons. Thank you for all the joy, for all the tears (yes) and for all the ideas. It might be a childrens show, but my creativity hits the rocket when I watch this. I noticed, when I stopped, that I got less creative. Once I started to watch it again, I’ve already made a lot of blue prints of inventions to use in the future.

Thank you, Phineas & Ferb – for everything.

Phineas and Ferb: Last Day of Summer

Posted in Phineas&Ferb, Uncategorized on May 8, 2015 by Sara Hammerzmith

So basically, yesterday I learned some real bad news.

After 8 years, and four seasons, Phineas and Ferb are coming to end. This summer, to be more exact, in June, the very last episode “Last Day of Summer” will air. I’m not really sure what to do with all of this.

Phineas and Ferb is what changed my life you know? Phineas and Ferb, how stupid it may sound, are the ones who gave me courage. Who made me realize that if I only believe, I can do it. This show, this childrens show about a dorito-head and his silent brother, changed my entire view on life. Instead of looking at things as impossible, I just look at it like “Let’s give it a shot”. Oy vey, so many things that wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t for this show.

All good things comes to an end I guess, but it’s hard to comprehend. And I’ll miss getting new episodes.

“The only thing impossible, is impossibility itself” – Phineas

Father’s Day

Posted in Phineas&Ferb, Uncategorized on November 22, 2014 by Sara Hammerzmith

*SPOILER ALERT*

Saturday means new Phineas&Ferb episode! At least for a while now. Today it was time for “Father’s Day“.

As the title suggest, they celebrated Fathers day. It started with Lawrence and Reggie playing some sort of simulator on the computer where they are flying planes, which inspired the boys to build the real deal AND go get Reggie from the UK. In the mean time, Dr Doof and Perry flew back to Drusselstein to get back the long lost garden gnome in order to return it to his father.

Of course, as he’s about to give the gnome to his father he trips on the carpet and breaks it. Gladly, his father didn’t freak out or anything. And as Doof and Perry had left for home, his father realized it was the old garden gnome and probably for the first time ever he was proud and happy about Heinz. He even glued it together and started yelling “BEWEGEN SIE NICHT!” to it. Love it.

I liked the episode. At first I was a little worried if it was gonna be as slow as “The Flying Fishmonger”, but the Doofenshmirtz sidestory saved the whole thing. It warmed my metalheart to finally see Dr D get the appriciation from his father that he longs for.

Doof 101

Posted in Phineas&Ferb, Uncategorized on November 15, 2014 by Sara Hammerzmith

SPOILERALERT.

Okay, so for the first time in forever I watched Disney Channel, and a new Phineas&Ferb episode! Main reason I haven’t watched it in a while is because our cable screws up CONSTANTLY leaving it no point to even try, since it’s mostly out of signal. But the problem has finally been resolved! The episode that was aired this morning was “Doof 101“.

Much to my happiness, it was a Vanessa based episode (all of you people should know by now that Vanessa is my favorite character) and the episode was about the first day of school for the autumn. Dr D had gotten convicted in court and decided to do some society duty and thus became Vanessa’s new teacher in science class, much to her dismay. While trying to explain about DNA’s to the rest of the class, he managed to turn her exboyrfriend Johnny into a dinosaur/gorilla/human morph.

Johnny took of with Vanessa – much the way Quasimodo did with Esmeralda in the Hunchback of Notre Dame, climbed up a belltower until Doof managed to get the anti-poison to Vanessa and she fixed the whole thing. The sidestory to this was about three insects trying to get to know the humans, but they eventually got crushed by Dr D. Phineas&Ferb themselves only appeard 2-3 seconds for the whole episode.

First of all, I was surprised to see so little involvement by Phineas and Ferb themselves, althought I absolutely loved the Vanessa special. However, I must admit it felt weird. I didn’t even know what it was that felt weird until Doofenshmirtz said the very last line of the episode:

Don’t worry Vanessa – it’s 261 days until summer“.

DAMN. This was an episode based in school. But P&F is a series based in summer. JESUS CHRIST I got so mindfucked! I thought it felt weird when I saw “Danville High School” but I didn’t even think about it until Doof said that one line. Damn, I’m telling you. That was weird.

But in a way it’s fun, since a lot of people have asked Marsh and Povenmire to make an episode featuring them in school. And there it was.

Nevertheless, I enjoyed this episode a lot, but I don’t think it’s the best ever.

Gravity Falls S2 & Phineas & Ferb: Star Wars

Posted in Gravity Falls, Phineas&Ferb, Uncategorized on August 5, 2014 by Sara Hammerzmith

A lot of exciting things has happened in the Disney camp lately. On July 26th, the newest Phineas & Ferb Special STAR WARS had it’s premiere in the United States, and I can’t fucking wait ’til it gets to Sweden. It’ll probably be here by November, seeing that both “Where’s Perry?” AND “Mission Marvel” was released in Sweden in November.

Man, I can’t even tell you. I still remember the day Disney bought Lucas Film and EVERYBODY tweeted Povenmire and Marsh asking them if there would be a Star Wars special, and I also remember when they mysteriously dropped sketches and fake posters…. and when it was finally revealed they were ACTUALLY doing this I sort of lost my shit.

It’s been a year or so since they announced this, and now it’s here. It’s finally freaking here. Or well, in the States. Not here. I’ve even heard some exciting things about it, which I won’t bring up here (in case it turns out to be fake, haha). Nevertheless, I can’t wait.

Yesterday, Gravity Falls season 2 had it’s premiere in the US as well, with the first episode being called “Scary-oke”. Of course, I have yet to see this, and if you calculate as they did back in 2012, this will come around the same time as Star Wars, or perhaps a little behind in order not to clash.

Gravity Falls… where do I begin about that series. I love it to death. Phineas&Ferb in all it’s glory, but Gravity Falls, damn it. That series excites the hell out of me. And I’ve heard that apparently, this season is supposed to be a tad bit darker than the first season, which excites me even more.

At times like this, I really, REALLY wished we were quicker in getting our shit voiced and released over here. I just can’t wait for these specials.

Land Before Swine & Mission Marvel

Posted in Gravity Falls, Phineas&Ferb, Uncategorized on November 30, 2013 by Sara Hammerzmith

Well, ain’t this cute. For the first time in what would be like forever I’m up very early. I have an exam coming at me this Monday, so I really need to shape up my sleep-cycle. And when’s a better time to do that if not when they air new episodes of Gravity Falls in Club DC? I must say I did manage to make it rather cozy with candle lights and all. Huh, I guess the upcoming winter is coming onto me.

But yes. “Land Before Swine”. It was cute. I never really paid much attention to the relationship between Grunkle Stan and the twins, but I think it just kinda hit me with this one. And I love McGucket. I don’t know what it is, but it’s something about him that I just love. Now I’m looking forward to Dreamscaperers. It might be coming to an end, but now I’m excited about it.

Now, let’s take a moment to talk about part two of “Mission Marvel”. Now, I’ve never really engaged much interest in the Avengers prior to this, the closest being me watching Spiderman when I was younger. MUCH younger. When it was actually called “Spindelmannen”. Yeah. So. Well. Iron Man. I just, I’m so done with his sarcastic attitude. I’ve never laughed so hard at a Phineas&Ferb episode as I have with Mission Marvel. The dialouge, seriously. The DIALOUGE.

But over all, I really loved this special. It doesn’t quite beat out “Across the 2nd Dimension”, but it did sure whipe the floor with “SBTY”. What failed it in the end for me was the last fight. I don’t know why, but something was lost there. I guess I kind wished they had just stopped after the first fight, or something. But the Candace&Phineas moment was beautiful. Yeah. This was dope.

Sorry. I’m not good at writing about these things. But yeah. It was dope.

Ding Dong

Posted in Phineas&Ferb, Uncategorized on May 26, 2013 by Sara Hammerzmith

Sweet Jesus. Haven’t been blogging for AGES. Just didn’t want to I guess.

Looking through my Gravity Falls episodes at the moment. Never thought that moment would come, but now it’s here. Since they are not very many at the moment, I’ve decided to burn them onto DVD’s in chronological order, but I wanna make sure they are OK before I burn them. You know, no silence, no glitches etcetera. I haven’t checked them for this before, probably because I can’t recall EVER seeing Gravity glitch, while I’ve seen it happen LOADS on Phineas&Ferb. And when I’m done I’ll delete the swedish backup.

Why this, you may wonder.

Well.

Next week, or this week since you probably read this on Monday, is Phineas and Ferb week. They are it for two hours every day, except from Friday where they air it for five hours. These weeks are perfect because 1) Loads of Phineas 2) Bigger chance to catch the missing episodes. I should have prepared better for this, but oh well. As long as I can get two hours ready for tomorrow, It’s ok.

Talking about that, I have sooo many things I haven’t watched yet.

Like, “My Sweet Ride”, “Just Desserts” for Phineas&Ferb and “Little Dipper” (I think it is) for Gravity Falls. Okay, that was less than I thought… Wow, I just realized they weren’t even supposed to air “Just Desserts” oh my god, I love when this happens!

So I just decided now that I’ll save them. I have a few exams coming up in the near future, and I might as well save them for when I’m done with the exams, to party a bit you know (Yes, I party by watching new Phineas episodes!). What a celebration.

Yeah… Ok. I should go through my episodes now. I need to study real hard for the exams so no time to do this tomorrow…

Fly On The Wall

Posted in Phineas&Ferb, Uncategorized on May 10, 2013 by Sara Hammerzmith

A week later after the two winterthemed episodes it was time to get back to the looong summervacation that’s been going on for some years, as Doofenshmirtz joked about. But then again, what have we said about breaking the fourth wall?

Once again, this contains spoilers.

So first of all I noticed the picture change in the background, you know the pictures that floats behind Phineas&Ferb at the end of the titletrack? In case you didn’t know, they change for every season, and I was really excited to see what pictures they’d do for Season 4. I don’t remember EVERY picture, but they had images from “The Remains of the Platypus”, “Excaliferb” and “Across The 2nd Dimension”.

And talking about the 2nd Dimension. Not sure if you know, but my favorite Phineas&Ferb track happens to be “Summer (Where do we begin?)” and I was THRILLED to hear this song make, a very short, comback in this episode. Okay, Iz, Jeet and Buford doesn’t pull it off as well as Phineas, but then again, how could they.

Well, over all, I think it was a fine episode. It IS rather hilarious how they turn Candace into a fly but… yeah. I’m not gonna write lenghtly about what happens, if you wanna know, you should just watch it. It isn’t the best I’ve seen, but it’s a good start on the fourth season of the summervacation!

Happy New Year

Posted in Phineas&Ferb, Uncategorized on May 9, 2013 by Sara Hammerzmith

Yeah, this is coming rather late, but better late than never, right?

Either way. A week after “For Your Ice Only”, as on order, “Happy New Year” had it’s premiere too. Am I the only one who think the timing is awful? Who has the premiere of a New Years episode in April? Apparently Scandinavia. Oh well, I’m not gonna get caught up in that.

This was another winter-themed episode, and I just love the new intro.

And of course, this contains spoilers.

I have very mixed feelings about the episode. Over all it’s a good episode, although some of the animation at times pisses me off. At some frequences it looks like a cheap sequel to Aladdin, not sure why this is happening, but there’s probably a reason behind it…. And then we have the moment that I’ve raged about for ever since the episode was released in the US. The opening scene, when they talk about traditions on New Years, and Isabella couldn’t have been more obvious to Phineas when she LOOKS HIM IN THE EYE and says you kiss someone special on New Years.

And he’s all like, Oh yeah, then I know what we’re gonna do tonight! And then he’s like, “We’re gonna do a New Years Ball”. It’s been a while since I’ve seen Isabella crushed like this, but oh well… It’s Phineas. A smarmy little sh*tbag. And later on it you see Ferb dance alone. Perhaps Isabella should just go to him you know.

But apart from these things, there were a lot cute things too. LindaxLawrence action, Canderemy action and some PerryxDoof action, or more, they danced happily together. I always smile a little when I see PerryxDoof in a more friendly matter than arch enemies. And of course there was a few sweet Phinebella moments, but they aren’t evened out by the previous events.

And Gagnam Style. G A G N A M S T Y L E.

Source: phineasandferb.wikia.com

Also love how Perry just goes in the door, Doof reminds him of the dresscode and he leaves only to come back with a suit. Hahaha.

This became rather messy, but oh well.
