Uptown Funk

Posted in Uncategorized on April 30, 2015 by Sara Hammerzmith

We woke up around noon to a decently heated living room. Of course, it had gone down quite the bit since we had to put out ALL the candles… but it was still warm! Since the weather was utter shit, we spent the morning playing Monoploy and eating roasted bread. And doing some additional planning.

I can’t wait until we can start making proper changes and plans to this house. It’s going to be pretty awesome, spending a week there this summer with all your loved ones (I assume?!).

But you know. Still a long way to go. We filled two bags of leaves, and still it didn’t look like we did any sort of progress. I guess we will see how it goes!

Run, Lucifer

Posted in Uncategorized on April 29, 2015 by Sara Hammerzmith

So, yesterday we set off to Haftersbol to start some of the preparations for this summer. Of course, it started not only to rain, but also to snow. So after filling to big bags of leaves, we decided to go inside and start moving around some boxes. Which was easier said than done, as it was already so filled up we couldn’t really do what we already had planned.

Gladly, we managed to dig out the couch and the bed, and after that we lit abut 60 candles, because THAT IS HOW FREAKING COLD IT IS IN HERE. After about 6 hours, it started to heat up. Amazing.

While waiting for it all to heat up, we made pizza. Tastiest pizza ever. The plan is to continue on tomorrow if the weather allows us, and soon enough we’ll be able to throw out all the shit that is in here. Thank god.

Beautiful Hell

Posted in Uncategorized on April 28, 2015 by Sara Hammerzmith

Day has been filled with preparations for tomorrows outward journey to Haftersbol and hopefully the first things done for this summer. Seriously, I’m getting really pumped for this.

However, today I set out to some second hand store to see if I could find some of the last pieces of The Sims games I was missing out on, and not only did I find Superstar, I also found the “other” version of House Party (it’s only the cover that is different, nothing else). They had Hot Date as well, but I have already bidded on it on Tradera, so oh well.

wohooo 038

Guess who’s a happy panda! Else I’ve just been in the stable and now I’m sitting here listening to Adna’s new album “Run, Lucifer”. Soothing music, and much needed right now. With that said, I’m now gonna crawl into bed with my Sailor Moon manga. Sweet times.

She Doesn’t Mind

Day has been slow. Spent most of it looking at things, planning things out, and after sitting at home being ridiculously bored, I headed over to Jennie’s, because hey, if I’m gonna sit and do nothing I might as well do it WITH someone, right?

So I headed over there, and brought my pink computer with me and now we’ve spent many many hours playing Neopets. You know that virtual game where you have a pet and possibly a petpet? Made for children ages like, 9?

Well, things heated up. We started Hasee Bounce, and that’s when shit got serious. Her neighbour must have thought we were killing each other when we yelled because we missed out on letters and valuable donuts. And don’t even get me started on Meerca Chase… Jesus Christ, these games sometimes.

And for the first time in many many years, we played Ice Cream Machine. When we were younger, we’d sit on MSN and play the game on the same time, and after every level we’d write what level we were on, how many points we had and how many lives we had. Only difference now was that we played the same level and didn’t write, but still updated each other on how many lives we had. And we cursed the Chocolate Chips level. That level EATS lives.

So yes. Grown up adults and all, being mad over Neopets games. But the Hasee’s are so cute, and my Blumaroo needs food you know.

Touch The Sky

Spent most of the day doing not a lot, but the evening was a lot more eventful, I’d say. Headed over to Jennie’s for some more planning for the summer. In only a few days we’re gonna go up for the first time to actually DO some proper work on the house and the land around it.

It’s quite the heavy project – we need to fix all the land around it, at first small maintain-shit like taking up all leaves, and take away all the bad growth, and later on digging place to plant some vegetables and other stuff. Plan out where to put the pool and the trampoline.

Plan out and map out where everyone is gonna sleep, and most importantly, move away ALL THE FUCKING SHIT HAHAHA.

Oh, I can’t wait for summer to come.

G- Best Vocalist of a band in your opinion

Posted in A-Z Music, Music, Uncategorized on April 25, 2015 by Sara Hammerzmith

Wow, at first it was a little hard to choose. Or, as I started typing, it still is hard to choose, but on the same time… As soon as I got this question, my mind went directly to one certain singer, and I don’t think any one of you reading are going to be surprised by my choice.

Mark Slaughter.

MArkSlaughter

This is a picture I took of him at Sweden Rock 2012, I can’t be bothered to open up my MAC to photoshop a logo onto it, so don’t take it please thank you very much. Anyway, Markysan… First of all, no one, NO ONE can deny that this man has quite the voice. But most importantly, for me, is that his voice soothes me. It makes me calm. I would love to sit here and analyze in what makes him good, but I’m afraid I don’t know enough about singers and singing in general to give a good opinion rather than that I love his voice.

Oh. Right. He’s the singer of Slaughter by the way, the band that emerged when Vinnie Vincent Invasion broke up, you know, Dana and Mark continued on with Tim Kelly and Blas Elias. Bobby went on to Nelson and a numerous of other projects. Nelson’s “After The Rain” is a killer though, check it out. But now I’m getting sidetracked.

When Lordi announced in 2010 they were going to use Markysan for additional vocals on “Babez For Breakfast” I fucking flipped. I had to re-read it a hundred times, and I still didn’t believe it until I got the album in my hands and heard his voice on the album. And his appearance on Chrissy Steele’s “Magnet To Steele” still sends me shivers down my spine.

Always

Posted in The Sims, Uncategorized on April 24, 2015 by Sara Hammerzmith

So basically, for this day, aside some cleaning up and planning and shit, I spent most day to recover Anna back to what she once was.

It took a couple of hours, but she’s finally a level 10. And with that, also came the expedition to Sixam. And holy shit… SIXAM! Have you guys been there? It’s like this whole new world. I spent so many (sims)hours just walking around and looking for things and… I barely wanted to go home you know. And the day after I was sent back for a party at the place, and holy shit. I’m so glad I chose this career for her.

I love this place. The nature, the graphics the… oh my god. It actually feels a bit sad I’m gonna change her career soon enough. Don’t. Want. To.

But I have to, so it might as well be today…

I’m seriously starting to think Get To Work could be my favorite expansion. Please, remind me to get back to you on that one in couple of years or so.

Rise Like A Phoenix

Posted in The Sims, Uncategorized on April 23, 2015 by Sara Hammerzmith

So basically, the last few days has held me absorbed playing The Sims 4. Really, like said so many times before, you can’t just play The Sims for an hour and then leave, you either play it 24/7 (basically) for a week, and then you don’t touch it for a month.

However, this fucking happened. THIS FUCKING SHIT.

Alright, so I was going strong with Anna, and we had reached level 9 in the Scientist career, just one day away from becoming level 10 and finishing the whole career. I had made up to 50 000 § and you know, things were going good. Started doing some gardening, started making sales in cloned serums…

And then it happened. What may NEVER EVER HAPPEN.

The game crashed.

It just shut off. And I paniced, and hoped and prayed that maybe I saved somewhere half way, because you know, I had turned off the game during the day.

But.. nope. I came back to her being a level 6 researcher, with only 9000§.

It’s at those moment you normally give up playing for a good while. But not this time. I won’t. I’m gonna start all over again, but start gardening and cloning a little earlier. But damn. All that work… lost…

F- Band that you like that a lot of people don’t

Posted in A-Z Music, Music, Uncategorized on April 22, 2015 by Sara Hammerzmith

EASY FUCKING PIECE OF CAKE.

Do I even need to write out the name of the band? Really?

Well, Obviously – Lordi.

Their career peaked around Eurovisiontimes, but has since then peaked right down. They are still going strong, smaller venues than before but still headlining. Those of you who’ve followed me for some years, knows without a doubt that this is not just a band to me, it’s my life, basically.

Thanks to this amazing bands I have met all of the most amazing people in my life. And even if I don’t know you through Lordi – we still probably know each other thanks to Lordi. Hadn’t Lordi entered my life, I wouldn’t be a metalhead. Hadn’t I been a metalhead I wouldn’t have started musicjournalism. I wouldn’t have started at Ingesunds College of Music. A lot of things that has happened in my life has directly been change, because of these monsters.

I can’t sit here and say that you all suck and that Lordi is the best thing ever and that everyone should listen to them. I do think they are a bit underrated – mostly because people makes it all about Eurovision and won’t even care about listening to gems as “Deadache” or “Scare Force One” or “The Children of the Night”. I had a guy I was interested in back in the days, who literally had only heard the big four – “Hard Rock Hallelujah”, “Devil is a Loser”, “Blood Red Sandman” and “Would You Love a Monsterman” and tried to tell me they were the most overrated band ever.

Like dude. Seriously.

So yes. Lordi. To me, the best thing ever. Thanks to Lordi I’ve seen places I never thought I would, like, all the countries and cities I’ve traveled to to see them and all… God, I practically owe my life to them. I love you Monstars, always and forever.

The Sims 4: Get To Work – Introducing Anna Arendelle

Posted in Uncategorized on April 21, 2015 by Sara Hammerzmith

So! A long while ago Get To Work expansionpack for The Sims 4 got out to the world, and mostly because of lack of time and other endavours, it has taken all up ’til now until I could properly try it out.

At first. after installing and starting at all, I ended up in the new neighbourhood, before I realized it could be a bad idea and headed over to Oasis Springs instead. Now that I think about it, I really should have gone with Willow Creek, seeing that the Hale family ALSO lives in Oasis Springs. I thought the neighbourhood was a little too familiar, for being such a “new” game. Huh, I might have to think about wheter or not I should move her…

ANYWAY. I’m wondering away with my thoughts here. So, I chose Oasis Springs and made my first sim which I named Anna Arendelle. I moved her into a small house, and got started directly on one of the follow-to-work careers, more to be exact, scientist.

I’m just really starting out, so I’ll give you heads up about the journey as we go along, but I thought I should at least introduce you all to her!
