Always

With Erasure. It’s the track of the REALLY POPULAR game “Robot Unicorn Attack” Always,I wanna be with you!

Ok. I haven’t been posting for a while. Why? Because I had a mental breakdown *lol* which resulted in bananas and milkshake parties with Amen. I haven’t been up to much lately, only like, being on Monsterboard and being sick. I also had the time to realize that I have lost almost ALL of my Lordi shirts. How is this possible? It’s kinda easy. Lordi is more or less the only band I keep buying merchandise with, and of course that includes mainly shirts, and since the pile in the shelf ALWAYS is big because of this, I haven’t really noticed. But I did now. I did notice my Kita face shirt was gone.OK, I did actually notice that a long time ago but you know… I hadn’t really cared. I thought it was in the wardrobe. And would you know, there is exactly where it was. So now it is on it’s right place, on top of my new Lordi shirt.

Now I just need to find the one with the Arockalypse middleposter with a red frame, the the arockalypse yellow thingy…. OK I lost track already. If Anyone just happens to see a Lordi shirt lying around in my room, just put it on the shelf. For all I care you can put it in the Wig Wam or KISS shelf, just put it on it’s proper home you know!

I also took the time to install all the The Sims 1 games. It’s ridiculously silly to say The Sims 1, but saying just The Sims makes people presume it’s 2 or 3, because no one is as old school and hardcore as me to have the first edition. And talking about the first edition, I had to open my collectible games, because all the games from the first print/edition have lost their books = lost serial code. It broke my heart to open the brand new On Holiday, Unleashed and Houseparty. But then again – I love the game more.

On Holiday is my favourite one. I don’t know – but it is really appealing somehow. Maybe it’s because it’s yellow, maybe it is because it’s got those awesome tunes, maybe it is that little hotel sign that I love… I also love Hot Date…. you know what.

I’ll cut it here. Really. I’ll talk The Sims tomorrow instead. I’m sick, my head aches, and I better divide Lordi and The Sims, haha!

Stala & SO. behind the scenes

Posted in Uncategorized on October 13, 2010 by Sara Hammerzmith

Wow. Just WOW.

And people complained when I made my The Sims dude “Sampsa Astala” a girl. Who knew I could be so right?

Am amazed though, I’ve been enjoying this band (SO.) for four years, this though is the first time I really get… speechless.

Wow.

Mr Kita part 3

Posted in Uncategorized on October 6, 2010 by Sara Hammerzmith

From MB:

Hi you all

This following is a message from Kita and myself. Even though I am the one that writes this.

We are still friends. Lets start with that. I am not madly angry at Kita. Shit happens. Neither of us a kind of person that holds a grunge or hate towards people. We have a saying in finnish, matters fight – not people.

Let’s reveal those matters behind this unfortunate but unavoidable end result.

Wether he was fired or did he leave by his own choice, the answer is yes …and yes. Both are correct in a way. Kita never told any of us in the Lordicamp, meaning band members or people who work for us or the label, about his plans he had with his own band until the night before of the Finlands ESC press conference. So it did come as a shock and surprise, since it really did not give us any time to react. We did not have a clue, there was absolutely no discussion beforehand. So he knew the risks, and what he was doing was against the “rules” of being in Lordi, and what it ultimately means.

Of course he’s been active with his other projects too all the time he’s been in Lordi, but never before has that been a problem or a possible hazard to Lordi. Until now. ESC is very public event, so that means that the media is there. And even more so, when we talk about ESC, with Lordi’s relationship with the Eurovision in mind, the risks were high. And the fears and risks became reality really fast, when media spotted him, and realized who he is. And here it gets tricky. For the media Kita’s (or any other members) appearance sans the mask in public as himself is and will be interputed as a manifest, as a statement, that now it is ok to reveal the faces of ALL the Lordi members. Lordi is free to be hunted. One member cannot have different rules than others. Media is black and white. So, in other words, we, the rest of the band, needed to literally save our own faces here. And remember, Kita knew this too, very well, as well as any of us. But, we did not wanna jump into hasty decisions. So we waited over the weekend, hoping that this would go away, and at the same time fearing every hour that any second now all of our hard work of hiding our identities will be ruined in a heartbeat. Remember how much we have fought about this to defend our stand and right to be anonymous. We skipped the presidents independence day party to keep up our image, which was not easy.
And during those hellish few days right after ESC press conference, we learned from journalists that are friends of ours that the pressure in certain parts of the media is building up to do the ultimate kick in the nuts of us. They already had the story. They dig up the pics of all of us. There was only one solution. There was no other choice. We needed to make clear that Kita was not playing by the rules, and not under the same rulebook anymore, and he had to be cut off.

Will Kita ever come back? As a permanent member, no. As a surprise pop-in guest at some special event? Who knows.  Would we work with him as a guest in the studio to sing backgrounds? Why not. Will we absolutely need him to sing the background vocs? No, it will sound a bit different but, no. He is not the only one in the band who knows how to arrange backing harmonies. And last; hahaha, will there be a Kita face shirt available? Yes. We will do it for the Kita diehardfans, to be able to pay your respect and love, one last time with a new Kita shirt.

These are hard times. For the fans, and for us. But, still, life and show goes on. With all due respect to my friend Kita, and he knows this too, nobody is irresplaceable.  Lordi has had already many lineup changes in the past, even before him, and we have survived them all, only to become better. It is never easy, it is always painful. But, the pain will go away sooner than we can think at a time of sadness.

Don’t worry, all is gonna be juuuuuuust fine (…like Granny

Lordi & Kita

This was… Just as I thought. Actually. Just like I’ve said it was. And I was right. Thanks for confirming, Mr L!

Mr Kita, part 2

http://www.aftonbladet.se/nojesbladet/musik/article7901035.ab

I need to say a few words about his departure, about my point of view of what happened.

SwedenRock.com says Lordi fired him because he unmasked and so kinda did Aftonbladet, and they say Lordi is not OK with second projects and such, this is not true. I want to clear out some misunderstandings, but I want to clarify – Except from the band information, none of these are TRUE FACTS, it’s just MY POINT OF VIEW, and what I THOUGHT happened.

Alrite. The Show By SO, the other band of Kita, has been active since 1997, and it was Kita who formed it. He has been the leadsinger ever since, and he joined Lordi in 2000.  When joining Lordi, he must have been pretty sure about what visions Mr Lordi had about the band – with other words – keep their identity safe, not show themselves unmasked and such.

When I say “Not show themselves unmasked” I mean that he shouldn’t take of his mask and say “Hello! I’m Kita from Lordi!”. He still had SO, as the guy STALA. And it was fine. It was Stala, and it was Kita. On the latter years – I met them last in 2009, saw them live last a few weeks ago. He seemed.. tired of it. I don’t know of course – I can’t read his mind. But this is the impressions I got. And he didn’t write a single tune for Babez. And at Nosturi he seemed so off.

I made an interview with Stala last year, in May 2009, and he said that “Everything I write is SO, sometimes it turns into Lordi”. And notice my dear friends, how he ACTIALLY SAID that it turns into Lordi.

This is what I’m talking about. He didn’t keep it as much of a secret as Mr Lordi wanted it.

And now, SO is in the selection for ESC. Good for them! It really is. But this also puts Sampsa under the medias investigation, and it also puts him in public alot. AND if SO succeeds in ESC, Sampsa won’t have time for Lordi. Simple as that really. Mr Lordi needs his members to commit, and Sampsa just can’t.

As I said, these are MY point of view of what happened, mustn’t have to be true. But this is what I think.

Mr Kita

Posted in Uncategorized on October 4, 2010 by Sara Hammerzmith

Today an announcement from Lordi reached the fans with the saddest news. Kita is no longer a part of Lordi.

Kita was an alien from the planet Mu-Araen which is located not less than 50 lightyears from our own solarsystem. Kita’s kind of aliens was the main spieces on the planet and worked as war beasts.

Kita was my favourite member. He was not only the drummer of Lordi, he was actually THE drummer. THE musician. THE bandmember.

I “fell in love” with Kita while watching a re-run of the Eurovision Song Contest in 2006. It was when they had won, as he was standing on the drums waving his drumsticks like a conductor of an orchestra. He was so cute and sweet doing that, I just fell for him. And ever since then, I’ve loved him with heart and soul.

I remember how excited I was about going to their gig in 2006. Mum dragged me around to each and every Wig Wam gig availible, and only a week before the gig I got an email from Amen asking if we wanted to meet them, and of course we signed up for it. While at the concert, I was amazed by him. Terrified, but amazed. You see – monsters and horror things aren’t really usually my kind of thing but, somehow Lordi works fine. Afterwards we went backstage. Lina & I was so nervous, so we went as far away from the “stage” as possible, sitting on the chair in the backer line. Lordi arrived and all the other fans started talking to them and such. Still we were too nervous to do anything.

OX spotted us, and he spotted Linas OX face shirt. He pointed at her and gave her the thumb up, and then Kita, who was next to him, saw us too. He saw my shirt, pointed at me and then started “calling” me about that I should come over. He waved at me and “asked” me /us to come over. So we walked a little bit, and their tourmanager Tomi Niemi came and picked us up. It’s kinda greyish. But I walked up to Kita, actually, I almost walked right into the chest of OX if it wouldn’t have been for that Kita grabbed me, turned me around and gave me half a hug or a hug… call it whatever you want… We took a picture and he told me my shirt looked cool (of course he would think, it’s a Kita Face Shirt!) Not much more happened, he tried talking to me but I couldn’t get out a word. I just nodded and agreed in anything he said… I hope I didn’t agree in something stupid, haha!

The years passed by and it wasn’t until 2009 I’d get in real touch with him again. Even if I might have been inactive on the Lordi forum doesn’t mean I stopped love him. However, the day was March 28th, year 2009. For this special event I had gotten myself a photopass, which would actually help us get backstage. The tour was the Deadache tour, and I love how they improved each solo. Like, not only for Kita, but the others aswell. I just love it.

We weren’t even supposed to meet Lordi this time, but we managed. I was first in (actually Eric Young from Crashdiet was our guide this night) I was the first into the backstageroom. I don’t know why, but I think I was talking to KittyCat, because I walked backwards. All of sudden someone says “Hello!” and the shock I got for someone saying that practically threw me up the roof. But who wasn’t it, if not the adorable Kita sitting on a chair in the hallway down. Cheering us. A couple of kids were takin their pictures with Lordi, the female band Vision, Judge Death and then us. After that Kita gave me a monsterhug and signed my shirt, also asking me how I was. He was so kind.

In 2010 I was one of the lucky to attend to the Nosturi gigs. Which looks now to so far be the last Lordi gig for Kita. It was a great gig. It was lovely. I don’t really know what to say more about it. But I had no idea that it was gonna be the last we’d see of him.

I’m sure it will sound weird if I say that I don’t really know what to say. Cause I don’t. I was sleeping actually, when I got the textmessage from Judge_Death. He didn’t say right away what had happened, but he didn’t need to. The way he wrote the message made me understand. Anushka, Angel_Of_Death, Monsta, MooneyMan and me had been discussing it for a while, or well, since friday, that Kita was gonna leave (it did happen a thing to make us consider this of course) and since we “believed” in this, I could understand by the way he wrote it.

It hurts it does. But it will get better. I will remember Kita as the kickass drummer and kind monster he was. He was like a shield you know, if you had a bully, you could always pretend Kita was coming and going to chop him down. Me, and many others, loved and still loves him to pieces and would do anything for him. I don’t really know how to wrap this up so I’m just gonna quit.

One last thing – I would like every Lordi fan who reads this, to put a comment to this post. It could be a great memory with Kita, it could be your feelings about him leaving, anything! I ask you to do this.

Kita, I love you to pieces, I hope everything turns out as planned for you! You will be missed.
“It’s breath intoxicating, it’s ego suffocating
it’s here in my house – trying to get out
It’s moves exhilarating, temper’s infuriating,
it’s no sage – rampage in a cage,
but you’ll be safe, you can feed it,
you wanna play? It’s almost tamed!

Pet the destroyer, my beast le royal, pet my destroyer
Sweet Killing Machine
Pet the destroyer, my beast le royal oh wont you please, feed, my beast?

It’s stare infatuating, I’m not exaggerating,
it breaks off the lease, creature released
It jaws intimidating, rage indiscriminating,
it looks kinda mad, yeah this looks kinda bad
This isn’t safe no, I can feel it,
this isn’t play, it can’t be tamed!

Pet the destroyer, my beast le royal, pet my destroyer
Sweet Killing Machine
Pet the destroyer, my beast le royal, oh won’t you please, feed the beast?
Oh won’t you please, meet the beast?”

Inget nytt.

Jo;

Lordi, Nosturi, Helsinki 18/9

Posted in Concerts, Uncategorized on September 30, 2010 by Sara Hammerzmith

Lordi gained their massive success in 2006, when they entered AND won the Eurovision song Contest with 292 points and the song “Hard Rock Hallelujah”, please, don’t tell me you never heard of them. It’s been four years since this, and two albums later they are here with “Babez For Breakfast”, and Paula and I went to the releasegig at Nosturi to catch the monstars live.

WARNING! This entry may contain language only understandable to the people within the scarctic circle, with other words, the Lordi language. You’ve been warned.

So, we got to the arena half an hour or so before they opened and ended up kinda way back in the queue. However, the people surrounding us must have thought we were nuts. Jumping around sining Pippi Longstockings and stuff… connected to Amen… Haha, no, I won’t tell : ) Anyways, what DO sucks, is that it started to rain! Yes! I know, I’m was in Finland, at Nosturi, I should’ve been happy, and I was, but it was cold already as it was.. We were let in anyway, went to the merch, picked up some merch and went in. First we felt fucked. It was CROWDED. Sort of. But then we saw it. The holy platform. Like Pamela Anderson from Baywatch we walked in Slow Motion over to the platform, falling, tackling with finnish people… and then we got there. Exhausted as we were, we stood there, as true soldiers, as Swedish Pagans.

However, no supportband was signed up for this, so it was a waiting of TWO HOURS until they started. It was fine though, usually I’d have been really pissed off, but considering that it 1, was Lordi, and 2, I had the very best Paula with me, it was just fine! We both got a little cranky around 10 when we just wanted them to start and they kept… not coming. “They smashed the clocks and the time did freeze. Dragged out the night to keep us on our knees”.

10.10. They came. On stage. Kita, OX, Amen, Awa. During the sound of horror of SCG V they came. Once the baby ate its mother, Kita hit the drums and with smoking guns they hit it off with “Babez For Breakfast”. It is something with Lordi, that just makes them disgustingly awesome, you know? It is something with the song – the band, the arena, the fans, something, that just made it so disgustingly awesome. It felt great to see that it was the hardcores that were here – the ones who knew it all.

They continued on with “They Only Come Out At Night”, and followed it up with another single of their, “Bite It Like A Bulldog”. Or ratherly, OX’s song. And you know, during the Deadache tour I had to walk out at this point to leave my camera right, so I totally missed it when the creep came out with OX in a chain… but finally I got to see it… wow. Haha, it was real creepy actually, I gotta say.

They are ripping off both “Whos Your Daddy” (where me and Paula went nuuutz!) and “Blood Red Sandman” before another Babez song came, the very so great “Rock Police”. It was one of the songs I had a hard time for in the beginning, but it has really grown on me know. I just love it. And Lordi is the elite of rock n rolls finest… And after this? Lets declare once and for all that this indeed is heavy metal. Yeah, you got it. And this song live? It’s just pure awesomeness, as Paula would say!

After getting a little heavy the very beautiful, and can I say now on sexy Lady Awa gets her 15 minutes in the spotlight. Of course it is with her “Rebirth of The Countess” and there is nothing I love more than to see this hot little vampire kill the bastards. Kill… KILL… KILL!

While killing those bastards she also throws us into the Discoevil, and it got some real toxic tones! I just love it, and I really hope they keep it (and the other Babez songs!) to the REAL tour (NO, this was NOT the tour-start)

SCG3 is hitting off and once again we get threatened to what will happen if we choose to follow the wrong path. Lordi gets out with his fox on his head to declare that despite what people say about Lordi being heavy metal or not, they are still brining it back. Or, “Brining Back The Balls”. Rather.

“Monster Monster”, “It Snows In Hell” ( I really thought they’d be playing “Call Off The Wedding”..) “Loud & Loaded” (also Babez song!) when it was time for the also now very… hot (I’ll keep short on the s e x word!) Amen gets his spotlight. Yes – Kita had his spotligt, and so did I OX, I just can’t remember specifically when during the concert they had it… But Kita just did what he always did. Chopping that damn chinese heads off! Way cool. Keep it up darling.

And just as on Deadache Amen introduced us to the very awesomest “Dr Sin Is In” Oh how I could pay just to see OX hit that corpse just one more time! Ending the set for this time with “Would you Love A Monsterman?” they leave us wanting more. As always.

But come on, it’s only Mötley Crüe who leaves without encores, so of course Lordi comes back. Mister says something in finnish, which apparently was either good or funny, because all the soumi talking people in the place loved whatever he was saying. So we did too. We just expect that it was something good he said. And when he introduced the next song, I thought I was gonna faint.

I thought; “Alrite. Either they do ‘Nonstop Nite’ or they just do the awesome twosome and leaves…” when I heard the four words. The four words, that togheter becomes a sentence of one of the best Lordi songs ever made. The words where hate, at, first, sight. Put them togheter and you get “Hate At First Sight”. Do you believe it? “Hate at First Sight”. Maybe the best B-track ever made by them, “Hate At First Sight”, LIVE. LIVE.I couldn’t believe it. I never thought we’d ever hear a B-Track live on stage, even if we all really wished for it. And the Lord heard our wishes.

They ended the entire concert with the awesome twosome – “Devil is a Loser” and “Hard Rock Hallelujah” with a lot of pyros, kinda interesting you know, on the Deadache tour, or, the place where *I* saw them on the Deadache tour, they didn’t have any pyros at all so it was kinda fun to see them have all these pyros in what I think is a pretty small arena. Sure, Nosturi is bigger than Klubben but you get me.

It’s hard to say anything bad about Lordi. This gig was ace, Lordi is always ace. I do miss songs like “Missing Miss Charlene” and “Deadache” (Especially “Deadache”) since it is my faves, but it’s ok. What did surprice me most is the fact that they barely played any stuff off the new album. I thought they were gonna play it all from scratch and to the end, but apparently not. Apart from that, I have nothing to complain about. It was just pure awesomeness.
It hurts like hell – m oh well, I know I’ll come back again”.

9/10
Best: Hate At First Sight!
Lowest: The lack of Babez material

Alrite! So here’s the deal. Me and the totally awesome Paula decided, a little spontaneous, that we should go to the release gig of Lordis new album; “Babez For Breakfast”. Said and done. I must say that the flight were really quick, which also pissed me off a little. You know, we lifted, and then the little sign that indicates thatyou can loosen your seatbelt tured off, the cabin crew gave me some coffe. And I barely even got to take the cup before the pilot asked the crew to be seated for landing… the flight took approx. 45 minutes only! Which was great, it made us ahead our own time schedule, especially when we found out the the flightbusses were leaving every tenth minute, instead of every twenty minute!

So, when we had finally gotten in to the central of Helsinki we went into the actual station to ask for the… trailway. We were SUPPOSED to ask for the trailway, but I had totally forgotten and we asked for the subway… So the guy we asked was like “Ohh, the nearest Subway is here *points* so you could as well go to the hotel…” so we did. We walked through what felt like it was half the Helsinki or something! We found the hotel pretty good without any problems, checked in, and then fainted on some comfortable beds!

However, we had a pretty tight timeschedule (even if we were a bit ahead!) so we just ran out again to get some food. We did, at some thai place. Having dinner and then we just got ready for the gig. So, it was kinda fun. We were gonna walk to Nosturi (We chose a hotel close to the gig rather than close to the central) so we walked and we were a bit worried if we’d actually see the place you know? Like with Stockholm Rock Out part 1, I wasn’t even sure where it was and almost PASSED Gamla Tryckeriet, so we walked down to the water… and we were like, “hm, where should we go now?” We looked ahead of us and saw this great brown building. It also had the text “NOSTURI” on it. But we didn’t get it!

Call us stupid swedes, please do, but we didn’t get it! But then when we saw the line of queueing fans, we put 1+1 togheter.. And this piece of stupidity is something I can take all the blame for it, and it is the same as Peace&Love 2008, when they played “Rise Of Evil”, the backdrop said “SABATON” and the guys had military pants, and still we didn’t get that it actually WAS Sabaton who was playing… So we went there. Queuing… A while. Until they finally let us in! I know I know – we only queued for half an hour, but still! It started to rain and everything…

When we got it in we went to the merch kinda immediatley, since it was right beside. They kinda had a wholesale on shirts or something, because the price at Rokkikaupa is like 25 euros for a shirt, at Nosturi? 10 € per shirt! However I only got the square shirt I planned for so long, and one “I had breakfast with Lordi” shirt. I guess you could call that shirt a tourshirt… for this gig…

When we came in, it was kinda crowded. BUT! They had a platform! AND IT WAS ON AMENS SIDE! (In both ’06 and ’09 I was at OX’s side, so I really wanted to be on Amens side this time!) so we went there, up the platform, and voila, we had a great view! The wait was pretty long, but it was so worth it!

I decided not to write about the concert in this specific entry, so just go read the specific entry for that review. But one thing; It was awesome! I mean sure, the setlist was a bit so-so, but I never really get dissappointed by Lordi, rather amazed. It’s like they have some goddess aura or something sourrunding them. After the gig we went back to the hotel and had a small afterparty… On two people basis.. I can tell you something; what happens in Helsinki stays in Helsinki!

The next day it was with a big sadness in our hearts as we left. We had a good breakfast at the hotel though, no babiez, but a good breakfast! On the airport of Helsinki we found something historical. THE MUUMI SHOP! I hadn’t even had Muumi in mind when we got there, but we went in there, and I got moomin and Paula got the stubborn redheaded chick called Lilla My in Sweden.. We went into the SECOND shop and I got a moose and a pin and Paula got something else I think… And it was here we formed the idea of The Heavy Metal Mousse which my Mooneyman is said to be something “INSANE”. We recorded a couple of videos, amongst them “Grannyz Gone Crazy” which you can see on Youtube…

I think I’ll quit here, and I’ll just say; this trip was WAY amazing! Stay tuned for the review of the concert…

Stockholm Rock Out Part 2 Del 2

Posted in Concerts, Uncategorized on September 17, 2010 by Sara Hammerzmith

Fortsätter med ”Toast Of The Town” och ” Rock n Roll Outlaw”.

Jublet fann dock inga gränser när de spelade den väldigt omtyckta “I Wanna Be With You”. Men det är aningen komiskt att först gör Glam så, sen kommer Steve… hehe, they can’t get enough of me!

Setet fortsätter med den för Stockholm Rock Out väldigt passande låten “48 Hours” (We got 48 hours, 48 hours to rock, to rock, 48 hours, 48 hours to rock… och ni vet, Rock Out var ju två dagar…) Min personliga favorit “Your Mama Wont Know”. Real worthy.

Alltså, jag tycker det var bra. Riktigt bra show, riktigt bra.

6/10
Bäst: Your Mama Wont Know

Och; It’s good to see someone else than Lordi talking to the dead…

Tack. I salute you, Chris Lemon.
