Heeding The Call – GWAR.

Posted in Uncategorized on November 3, 2011 by Sara Hammerzmith

Ah, the nostalgia when put on HammerFall! One of the Songs I like the best.

Today we had our first TV crew meeting.. And yeah well, it could have gone better really! Haha, first ten – twenty minutes we were just HALLO ARE YOU THERE constantly. But I think we managed to get a start somewhat after a while, and we will keep working on it.

But I wanna talk about something completly different. About GWAR.

Today we learned that GWAR’s guitarist Cory Smoot AKA Flattus Maximus have passed away.

This shocked me. I heard about it a few hours ago, and I’m still speechless. It’s… People who knows me knows about my rather hatred towards GWAR, but I’d never wish someone dead, and a band should never have to go through this. GWAR, family & friends of Cory – I’m so sorry for your loss.

So, what I wanted to say was, May you Rest In Peace, Flattus! You will be missed.

Last Night Of The Kings

Van Canto, pretty awesome band. I just purely love this song and the feeling it gives you.. Gah!

Today’s been gooo. Was supposed to go to the library to make the last blogentry, however, I managed to loan the book, so did that instead. Tomorrow’s the last day, and I’m kinda nervous about it. The course and the communication hasn’t worked out so well, but my mother said that the worst thing that can happen is that I’ll have to retake the course next year. And honestly, how horrible is that? Not at all to be honest, haha.

Like I said yesterday, went to the stable to see Julia, was so cool to see her again! And I’ll probably see her on the next break too, and by that time we will probably even ride together with her! That will be kickass.

Okay, now it’s three weeks left ’til we hit it off to Germany for a couple of days of decadence, and I was planning to get new speakers to my iPod… however, I managed to find my old one AND realizing it actually worked pretty well, so decided I’ll bring that one instead of a big CD player! And it will be kickass for summerfestivals… ahh! I can’t wait to kick stuff off! I really have the bestest of friends, bestest company ever, I can’t wait to get on the road again.

From my birthdayparty this year. Love you all, even yoy who aren’t on the picture.

No, what about submitting those reviews…

See yah!

Animal Attraction

Posted in Uncategorized on November 2, 2011 by Sara Hammerzmith

It’s such a fantastic song I’m not even fidning it funny. Sure the lyrics are so inimaginative, and so Reckless Loveish, but I still love it.. haha.

Today’s been great. SOOO productive it ain’t even fun, I think I finnish three or four weeks of work in like an hour. Why I didn’t do this earlier I don’t know, I just know I feel pretty kickass right now. I also were in stables helping out as I from now on do every tuesday, and I booked the last parts of my Finland trip in two weeks.
Like I said, productive day haha.

Talking about Finland… it will be the third time I see Stala&SO., and Honey Hellraiser for that matter. Haha, last time in Helsinki was insane, I dont even… soo much happened. Will be great to see the boys again, as well as my dear german friends!

It feels good now, but somewhat kinda empty you know. I have four concerts left this year, and the first one will actually kick in next week (Hardcore Superstar here in my hometown) and then the insanity of travelling around begins. But I’ll have fun. Loads, I’ll travel with amazing people, and the ‘break’ after Mötley Crüe will probably be just awesome for me and my fellow mates to catch the breathe before we go hard in 2012. We started a new little secret project, and we will make the first thing with it this year, and then walk the line in 2012. I’m looking forward, this is so gooo.

Loving it.

On the schedule for tomorrow is to catch up with Julia from Extreme Horse Makeover who is coming to town for a dressagecourse, as well as doing the last schoolwork (due thursday!! aah!)

The Sims 3 Pets part 2.

Posted in The Sims, Uncategorized on November 1, 2011 by Sara Hammerzmith

Alright, I’ve been playing for a few days now. And what can I say? I love it.

I expected this to be some cheap kind of thing “choose a black, withe or brown horse, generic looks can jump and eat and drink”.

Imagine my surprise, when I pushed “Create a Horse” and could HANDDRAW my own horse with all marks and stuff! And pretty much all big horse races were in too! So yeah, I handdraw Lady Axa as good as I could, and you could also choose personalities for them. WOW. So far so good.

Haha, don’t mind the horses pose! What I also loved, on the humanpart, was that there are finally REAL BOOTS! Like the boots all good and legendary bands use. LOVE IT.

Anyways, when I moved them in and started playing.. First of all, a nomadic pony ran over my lot. And for the second.. THE DETAILS.

The Sim actually HAS to learn how to ride, and you have to groom your horse and ride it and train it so it won’t get bored, and the horse can do shitloads, like, playing with balls and roll around like REAL horses. This game is just fantastic.

I don’t really know what to say. Unleashed were, according to the cover, released in 2002. Ever since then, I have, together with many others, been WAITING for horses. BEGGED for horses. But as they didn’t show up in The Sims 2, we kinda gave up hope. And then, they came in The Sims 3.

You know, I kinda dislike The Sims 3. But this expansion, only this horsething, makes up for any unnecessary expansion, any bugg or mishap they have in their games. It makes up for EVERYTHING. And not only did it raise itself above all the other games (yes, it might just have managed to get prior to The Sims!) it also kicks ass with all my horsegames. It is the perfect fucking horsegame, the horsegame I always dreamed off.

EA, you succeeded well with this one. I salute you!

The Sims 3 Pets part 1

Posted in The Sims, Uncategorized on October 28, 2011 by Sara Hammerzmith

Ever since Unleashed (The Sims) were released back in the days, I have, and many others, always been wanting horses. Guess how HAPPY and surprised we were, when we saw the trailer and realized, horses are in? It made my day, and this have, after Late Night become the expansion I’ve been looking most forward to. And today I finally got it, even though it’s been released for a few weeks/days.

As I write this I’m still installing it, so I’m just going on with my expectations here. So yes, horses. In previous expansionpacks bigger animals (cats & dogs) have been a part of the family, meaning if you are a family of eight persons, you won’t be able to have those. I hope the case ain’t the same with horses, since I was planning trying it out with the Cullens, and as you know, they are already eight persons (oh my dear Rosalie…). I’m not in need right now to try out dogs and cats, as a matter of fact, I’m kinda… tired of them, haha!

I’m also glad to see iguanas, turtles and birds, and if I can believe the pictures, even hamsters/guinea pigs are back in the game, and I really missed them from Livin’ It Up / Unleashed! Adding snakes was also a real good move. So if horses aren’t availible for Cullens, I’ll still try out the rest!

Good thing is I have a new sim, whose name probably is Rose Hale or similar, who works as a ghostbuster currently, could always be the one to try it out. Or if I make a new one. Or maybe just kill Jasper or Edward (the two persons in my family who fills no other function than being in the way). No okay, let’s not be that harsh haha.

But yes. I’m overexcited now. But I’m not gonna play it right now.. I’ll do it when I’m back from the stable, where I ride real horses, hahaha!

On this day, October 4th 2010.

Posted in Uncategorized on October 4, 2011 by Sara Hammerzmith

That’s something Facebook would say. And it’s something I use.

Does anyone remember, of my blog readers, what happened?

Probably not. But I sure do.

On this day, one year ago, Mr Kita left Lordi. My favouritemember, my inspirationalsource. Just like that, he was gone. I did sure expect it coming at the time, but it still feels… empty.

But I have gotten over it by now. It’s okay now. Really.

But I still miss him.

Gigs gigs gigs…

Posted in Uncategorized on September 12, 2011 by Sara Hammerzmith

Haven’t updated in forever. Had no reason. Now I’m back.

Alot have happened, like competitons in the stables and such but yeah. Won’t write too much about it. Just gonna give a heads up about me leaving again, haha! Tomorrow midnight I’ll b leaving for Finland again, Stala&SO. releaeparty, The Honey’s supporting. Just like in February, but this time, Eesti and Anthalerero, AND Anushka and a couple of more german fans are joining in! Talking about a goddamn party! Right after that, I’ll be back in Stockholm and see the good old VC-PS with Joiz, will be interesting. I’ve followed the band a long time since they started, but never seen them ’til now.

The Ark is following up, with Joiz & Maria, Sara will be there too. And then ending the weekend with Jedward, I mean this is what we call a ballbuster but fuck how much fun it will be! I guess I’ll be updating my twitter more than my blog, so if you want updates check there…. http://www.twitter.com/hammerzmith , and yes… that was that.

Got an awful load of new Crashdiet merch. Sweet stuff.

“You have the bands you love – and the bands you stay true to no matter what”

Posted in Tankar och funderingar, Uncategorized on August 28, 2011 by Sara Hammerzmith

This rather infamous quote is of course taken by my dear Concertweirdos, and I realized how true it is.

I have a small gap in October, where I have no gigs at all really. So I went on my routine on Ticnet – I used to do it all the time when I went to highschool, not so much anymore because I usually get updates via Facebook, but now I did so. Noticed HammerFall have two shows off their “Infected” tour in Sweden. Said and done, now I shall be attending the touropening in Gothenburg I decided.  So yes one more show added soon.

This made me think a little. Last time I saw HammerFall was last year at Sonisphere festival – normal, random, boring festival gig. Before that it was on the Any Tour Necessary, must be one of the more amazing tours I have seen. Sucha powerful show, wow, it certainly blew my mind! See if I can dig up some pictures… Oh yes! Here are some stripes..

Not sure if you can tell – but the green Hector is reflected in a waterfall, and I think the blue above Joacim is as well. Eh yes… that was all about HammerFall, I was gonna talk about something totally different, my title actually.

I haven’t listened to HammerFall for ages, and the only reason I saw them last year was because they played the festival. But you know – as CW said – there are bands you love. There are plenty. DangerDanger, Cinderella, Mötley Crüe, Poison, Pretty Boy Floyd and so on.

But then we have the bands I stay true to no matter what. I use to call them the bands on my “wall of fame”. The Ark. Wig Wam. Crashdiet. Lordi. Gotthard. Sabaton. Lady Gaga.  The Poodles. And of course HammerFall. It’s the bands I don’t listen to everyday, time to time I don’t even have them in my mind at all. But once they release a record, a tour, a new piece of merch – anything – I never even doubt to get it or to attend. If I get to choose between a Michael Monroe gig and a HammerFall gig, HammerFall probably wins, because they are my wall of fame band, you know?

It’s the bands you would die for. The bands, where it doesn’t matter if they change. HammerFall has gotten a more heavy sound, Lordi tries to get back to the 80s, I don’t know what the fuck happened with Lady Gaga and Wig Wam is just… Wig Wam. But they are MY bands. If Lordi so would start to make music ala Justin Bieber, I’d still be there. Loving them, supporting them. Just staying true. I might of course not agree in all they do – but I keep promoting them, telling everyone around that “this is the best band on earth!” how hypocritical it now might be to say so about this many bands I don’t know, but that’s what we do.

I guess we go under the label “hardcore fans”. We who never let go, who always are there to help them through rough times, who always travel til the end of time to see them, not letting anything stop us.

It’s what we do for the bands. Not the bands that we love, but the bands that crossed that barrier that makes them closer to heart than anything else.

The Ark in Gothenburg

Posted in Concerts, Uncategorized on August 27, 2011 by Sara Hammerzmith

Myes. A little randomly, we decided to go see The Ark in Gothenburg.

It’s sad, that The Ark are quitting. The Ark is,without any kind of doubt, Swedens best live act as well as Swedens best inspirationsource. Listening to Ola Salo… he really touches your heart! And the show, Oh my god. When they go, a part of my heart will be missing. Love to all of you.

It was pretty much the same setlist as earlier, however, haha this is incredible. Before the show started I was thinking to myself “Hm. Last time I saw them in Gothenburg, they opened with ‘Absolutley No Decorum’, will they do it this time as well?” because in Karlstad earlier this year, they had begun with AND’s beginning and then “Hey Modern Days”. And would you know – They did open with “Absolutley No Decorum”! Else it was yes, pretty much the same.

I always get as happy as a little child when they do “Disease”, I love it, easily my favourite song. Overall it was a fine show, and it was incredibly fun seeing Eric Young from Crashdiet running around being their roadie. Now I’ve catched him twice at places he shouldn’t be at. What the fuck. Oh well. I salute you, The Ark. Can’t believe the end is near.

Hm. I have various versions of this moment. Both from Karlstad this year, and also from Svedala Sommarrock back in ’07. Gonna dig it up!

Also listening like hypnotized to the preview of Jay Smiths “Like A Prayer” on iTunes store. I can’t wait until I get the fucking record. It’s something of the best I have heard.. the arrangement! Oh my god.
