The Time Travelers Pig

Posted in Uncategorized on April 6, 2013 by Sara Hammerzmith

Ah. Yesterday was the premiere for a new episode of Gravity Falls, because yes, we’re a bit late here in Sweden. As I suspected it’d be, it was “Time Travelers Pig”, an episode I’ve wanted to see for some time. Why?

Because 1. WADDLES. Mabel’s pet pig. It’s the cutest ever, and her love toward it is even cuter. Mabel is freaking fantastic.

and 2, future Mystery Shack. I mean, it must be DIPPER opening the door, right? They were traveling to the future, not past. Gah. My head is spinning with all these time-paradoxes. At least it was VERY nice to see something else appear when it started instead of “For tonight’s final illusion…” or “Ah. Summer. A time for fun, recreation…” and so on.

However, I really liked it. And I will until DisneyChannel decides to air so often you get tired of it. And they will, trust me. This is the second time it airs today. Who would’ve known.

There’s one thing I have to bring up though about the show. I love, and adore, how Dipper and Mabel are ALWAYS there for each other, always helping each other out even if it means they’ll be less happy. Like when Dipper tried to make sure Robbie wouldn’t ask Wendy out, and she sacrificed (or risked perhaps) not getting Waddles, and how Dipper in the end gave up the dream about Wendy so Mabel could, at last, have Waddles. And after all, Waddles humiliated Robbie so I guess it’s a win win.

Anyway. I’m gonna wrap this up a little weird, because I’m just dead tired. I hope I made some sense. Remember, Stan isn’t what he seems.

Well, today’s been. Not so interesting, haha. I’ve really just been messing around with the episodes as usual, but I also went to a couple of second-hand stores with my parents, and naturally like the shopaholic I am, I didn’t leave empty – handed.

Basically – “The Hunchback of Notre Dame”, Disney’s, on english. Always wanted it on tape on English. Next one is “Belle’s Magical World”, in Swedish obviously, the only one I didn’t have in the “Beauty and the Beast” series. “Antz”, and another version of “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” by another label. Saw some screenshots that resembles some of the scenes in the book that wasn’t in Disney’s movie, could be fun to check out.

However, despite me not being done entirely (but soon!) with the episodes, I figured I’ll start today with testing out the new The Sims games I got before I went to Paula’s.

Yeah, I know, I’m way late. I used my money on other stuff, but at last, I’m starting to catch up. Since I’m not all into Supernatural stuff, I figured I’m gonna start with that one. Plus, that ain’t a expansion I can try out with the Cullens, and if I can’t use it with them, they usually get lower rates from me, haha.

Either way, I just had it installed and created my first sim, Katie Bell (named after a Harry Potter character, as a change) and I made her a witch (Guess you didn’t see that one coming?) and I’ve moved into a small house in Moonlight Falls. I’ll be trying it out for a few days before I let you know what I thought.

Anyway, I’ll get back to the The Sims and talking to Michelle. We got some last minute Italy things to decide upon, so I’ll just see you later.

Candy for the Cannibal

Posted in Uncategorized on April 3, 2013 by Sara Hammerzmith

Hello!

At last, I’m home. Or really, I got home Monday evening, but TIREDNESS. And waaay too much Phineas&Ferb to go through. I just want to get done with it.

So well yes. I spent Easter with my girls in GBBF, and well… it was fun. VERY SO. On the first night there we pretty much just passed out on the matresses discussing everything and nothing. We haven’t, as a group, seen each other in a while, so it was well nice to catch up with them and talk. The next day we didn’t do much more than that, ‘cept from going to have some pizza and desert with her family. Fun times!

On Saturday though, we decided to go to Boda Borg in Karlskrona, since it was “only” two hours away with car. We were pretty excited about it, you know, it’s always fun to see what it’s like in other cities.

But… even though we had a lot of fun, especially with the Pirates quest… I’m not all that pleased with it. Boda Borg Karlskoga set some pretty high standards that Karlskrona failed to live up to. First of all, the staff seemed a little off. But I guess they had a bad day or something. Then we come to the quests….

Look. 75% of them seemed to be sponsored by companies, and they didn’t even make sense. It was just some random obstacle-track without fantasy, without thought and some without safety. And there were no clues ANYWHERE for how to solve the quests. Sometimes, like in the “Gallery” quest in Karlskoga, they just say “A Dramatic Event”. It doesn’t give everything away, but it’s enough to help you figure out what to do. These either didn’t exist, or they had been torn off by other questers. And when you asked the staff they refused to give you the simplest of clues.

Well, even though most of the quest were unimaginative, there were a few that was fine. Like the “Playground”, that one was fun, and as I already mentioned, the “Pirates”. They had an ad for that one in Karlskoga, and I’ve been dying to try it out! Due to the lack of clues it was a bit difficult to get through it at first, but after a while we figured it out, even though we never finished it.

I managed to hit my head pretty badly in McDonalds when falling off a spinning log in the last room. Not only did I fall off it and hit the wall, I managed to hit the very edge of a plank sticking out. Martine hit her head too in the same quest in the first room, when going through a dark labyrinth.

Another thing I reacted on was whether the quests were working or not. Three quests were not even opened, two seemed to be broken and one just wasn’t opening when you pulled the door. We asked the staff about this one, and he said he’d open it, but he never did. Even though we asked twice.

And then you had the quests that no matter how much you tried and pulled, it never gave in. I’ve learned in Karlskoga that sometimes you have to molest the contacts to get through, but not even when doing that it worked. Maybe we are losers, but I don’t know. We finished 9 out of 23 (20) quests though, and for being there for the first time and for six hours, that ain’t so bad! But it made us miss Karlskoga…

After having dinner at McDonalds we finally went home for a night of sweet sleep. Almost at least.

On Sunday it was time for Martine to go home, and we went to this castle called Glimminge Hus, which is the most well-preserved castle in Scandinavia (unless I misunderstood).

michelle

We used the rest of the afternoon to write some bisarr stories on Isabella/Doofenshmirtz and Pinkie Pie / Perry and… yeah. I guess that’s how you sum up our weekend. It sure was a blast and I hope to do it soon again!

I’m gonna get back to Phineas&Ferb now. I’m soon done!

Pandemonium

Posted in Uncategorized on March 29, 2013 by Sara Hammerzmith

Hello everyone!

Excitingly enough, I’m NOT gonna rabble about Phineas and Ferb, because, I’m not even at home!

Nope, you heard it right. Without Paula even knowing about it, we planned our own little evil scheme with me telling her I couldn’t make to come to celebrate her birthday, but, as a surprise, I showed up anyway! Gladly, she was glad to see me.

It was actually quite some time since we, the four of us, Me, Martine and Paula got together and we have had soooo much to catch up on. We’ve got some rad days coming up here, so I’m gonna wrap this up early.

See yah!

Unfair Science Fair

Posted in Uncategorized on March 27, 2013 by Sara Hammerzmith

For like the first time ever, I blog rather early in the day. I’m really just sitting and going through yet another episode to make sure it’s fine, and the pace is going FAST by now. In just a few moments I’ve managed to clear out two hours, so if I’m lucky, I’ll get all the time I need. Hopefully.

But you know, I’ve never studied as frequent as I have at the moment. Looking at the same episodes over and over again, and look at the same show the whole day, it does, and you never thought you’d hear me say this, bores me, and because of the frequency of the marathons that have been… Yeah. So instead of just staring at the TV, I read a book at the same time, making sure to keep the screen in the corner of my eye in case the screen goes black, and my ears open just to listen in case the sound disappears.

Reading my journalistic books truly inspires me to write. I’m not sure why, and it might be this sole reason that makes me blog this early, well, that and me being a bit bored with watching the show. I have a big plan on a report for Hårdrock.com, and I hope I can pull it off. I’ll plan it tomorrow with my partner in crime, my platypus, and then start doing all the email work that has to be done. We will also do the last Italy stuff tomorrow.

Oh well. I should return to “Unfair Science Fair” and my book. Tonight will be filled with marathon, packing (going away tomorrow!) and.. other stuff.

Doofenshmirtz just got his second black eye. He calls out to me! Doofyberg, I’m coooomiiiing!

Sorry.

The Lizard Whisperer

After changing my tactics about getting this done quickly, I’ve finally found one that should be decent. I’ll be looking at the episodes that I have recorded but are unlisted, and if they’re fine, I’ll just delete them right away. Finally I get it.

But really, these have been the most unproductive days ever. So while watching the episodes I’ll make sure to write some work-applications. Might be good to do so, you know, me quitting school and everything. Hope everything works out.

But okay. The only thing I need to worry about at the moment is the episodes. To make sure I get enough space for “Meapless”. If it airs. God how disappointed won’t I be if they don’t air it.

Okay. I have nothing interesting to write about ‘cept this… Italy is coming up, I guess that is interesting… Soon soon! Just a few weeks now. Whoop Whoop!

Blackout!

Posted in Uncategorized on March 25, 2013 by Sara Hammerzmith

Wow. Now I drifted away again. Sorry.

Well, there’s been a Canderemy marathon this weekend. I caught some of the episodes I was still looking for, but as I try to look through all of my episodes before Wednesday to do a major clean up, I’m sort of fed up with Phineas&Ferb at the moment (Never thought you’d hear me say that, huh?)

Although I have a lot to do. I have to write to one job, apply for two jobs, do some schoolwork, prepare Phineas&Ferb, trying to pull the last string together for Italy and… clean. Yes. All of this I have to do before Wednesday. But they have an Animazing with Phineas&Ferb on Wednesday, so I guess I could use that as a reward for a job well-done. Ah well.

Sorry for boring you out. I really just wrote this to distract myself from screaming out in desperation. I don’t necessarily have to look at the screen to notice if the screen goes black or it loses its sound.

But then again. Currently going through “Blackout!”. And the screen is always black. Perhaps I should pay attention to this one.

Today is Gonna Be a Great DAy

Posted in Uncategorized on March 20, 2013 by Sara Hammerzmith

Okay. So that about me trying to at least stock entries to upload didn’t work out very well. I should get started with that whenever I get some time over. Which I should any day now. And while thinking about it, I should really start studying a bit more, you know, pick up the pace.  And about that, I’m starting to stock up on non-archived Phineas episodes. I need to archive them before this weekend.

Yes. I haven’t blogged since last weekend, so well. As you know, it was a Gravity Falls marathon last weekend, which was… good. I mean, it’s the same episodes I’ve seen so many times now. We only have seven episodes in Sweden right now (Tourist Trapper, The Legend of the Gobble Wonker, The Hand That Rocks Mabel,  Headhunters, Dipper vs Manliness, Double Dipper, The Inconviniencing), or well, at least what I know off, and well.. making a two-day marathon out of those isn’t… all that exciting. Phineas&Ferb, despite having seen almost all episodes, it’s always a bit of roulette regarding what episodes that comes, you know? Even though you only base it on Season 3 for instance, it’s like, 20 episodes to choose from.

This weekend, it’s another Phineas&Ferb marathon. This time it will focus on Candace and Jeremy, much like it focused on Isabella and the Fireside Girls last time. This marathon is slightly shorter, but it will sure fill me up on some of the episodes I’m missing, like “Canderemy”, which is the only episode I’m absolutely positive they’ll show. If they don’t, I will seriously ask what’s wrong with them.

Once I got “Canderemy”, for a second time that is, the only episodes I lack from season three is “Meapless in Seattle” and “This is your backstory”. As far as I’m concerned, these episodes are so far unaired in Sweden, so I’m just (in)patiently waiting for them.

I also figured I’d go through all my recordings, once and for all, without speeding them. To check up on what episodes are incomplete or broken, or to make sure that I truly have all the episodes that I say I have. And preferably, I’d have this done before this weekend. But I tell you. It’s a hell lot of episodes. But I’ll manage.

I must.

I better start archiving. It’s not like I’m gonna start tomorrow if I’m not starting today.

A Whole New World

Posted in Uncategorized on March 15, 2013 by Sara Hammerzmith

I haven’t been blogging for a few days. And that is really only because I got nothing to blog about. And I’m not certain if it’s really a good idea to blog if you have nothing to blog about. I mean, I must be the only one in this world who, at 2am sit and watch a two hour marathon of Phineas&Ferb. It was a good one though, I think it was only two episodes I previously had. So, good catch.

I started playing The Sims again. I know how stupid it sounds, but I tend to have it a bit in periods. Like, I play it every day for a while, and then I have a little break (a week or so).  But I never really know what to do. My golden family, Cullens, is bugged like I don’t know, so I can’t play on them, since I’ve loaned a friend one of my expansionpacks. And since Cullens is such a superfamily, I don’t have the patience to play on another one.

I wrote this shitlong entry now about what families I got in The Sims that I have at least a little patience with, but that did instead inspire me to write an entry alone about what The Sims families I got at the moment, that I have the patience to play on. But I’ll save that entry for a day when I don’t know what to write about. I think I’ll start do that. Whenever I feel inspired, I’ll just write an entry and save it, as long as it’s ageless.

Okay. The marathon is done now, sadly, it ended earlier than I had hoped it would, I wished they’d have had “Busted (At Last!)” included as well, but I guess Animazing just KEEP geting shorter. Went from three hourse to two, and now to one and a half. Goddamn it Disney, I rather watch Scaredy Squirrel for three hourse than your sitcoms. Some of them are good, but Lab Rats and Kickin It ARE NOT. I’m just bitter because I was so close to scratch of season one.

And now I’m rambling about nonsense. I’ll just clean my DVD.

Good Night

Don’t Look Down

Posted in Uncategorized on March 13, 2013 by Sara Hammerzmith

So well. Since I don’t really do anything special this week, I figured I’d do a bit of hunting for some Phineas episodes, you know, as I got the time. Today was the first day where I really “engaged” in it, and I’m finally, at this late hour, sitting down to check what episodes I caught.

I’m still only on the first recording, but my eyes are big and my heart is warm as I realized that my first catch is not only episodes I was hunting, but one of them was also one of my absolute favorites.

Which one?

No, not The Chronicles of Meap. But “Phineas & Ferb and the Temple of Juatchadoon“.

Seriously. The first time I saw this episode was when we were watching a “Where’s Perry” marathon (a marathon that was before it) and I started to record just to see how much time we had left, and then I realized it was a new episode I hadn’t seen, which was the Temple of Juatchadoon.

Juatchadoon is an episode inspired by Indiana Jones, where you follow Ohio Flynn and Rhode-Island Fletcher in their hunt for the Juatchadoon-amulet. It’s an alternate universe, if you like. I don’t want to spoil too much of the episode, but if you like Indiana Jones I think you could probably enjoy this episode. I certainly do. But then again, I love the alternate universe episodes. And the song “Don’t Look Down” is, despite it being short, one of my favorite Phineas&Ferb songs. Seriously.

Source; phineasandferb.wikia.com

I do wonder what the hell happened in the Swedish translation though. All of a sudden “Perry The Platypus Theme” got new lyrics. Haha, what the hell.

Oh well. I’m about to scratch “Agent Doof” and “Temple of Juatchadoon” off my list and keep looking for other episodes before going to bed.

Good night everybody!

EDIT: Okay, so now I’m done with all these recordings, a bit slowly as I read in my schoolbook at the same time, but I can proudly tell you that I also caught two of my other beloved episodes, “The Beak” and “It’s About Time”. Both of them pretty hard to get, but now I can scratch them off too. So. Four episodes in one day huh? This is promising.
