Lordi

I’ve been spending some time now, around an hour actually, just listening to those 30 mins preview of all the songs. A few tears are shred, I can’t understand how Lordi over and over and over again are writing masterpieces. This my friends, may actually be the best Lordi ever performed. Until now, “Deadache” was my favourite album, but from what I have heard here, “Babez For Breakfast” is easily going to take over.

I can’t even say what song is the best. They are all so awesome – “Babez For Breakfast”, “Rock Police”, “Midnite Lover”, “Disco Evil”, “Granny’s Gone Crazy”, “This Is Heavy Metal” (this single is already released), “Devils Lullaby”, “Amens Lament to Ra”, “Call Off The Wedding”, “I’m Bigger Than You”, “ZombieRawkMachine”, “Give Your Life For Rock n Roll”, “Nonstop Nite” and “Load and Louded”. And of course the fifth part of the Scarctic Circle Gatherings. I can’t say I dislike it, but of course it doesn’t top the fourth part, you remember it?

Wrinkled shrunken baby heads
Posioned spiders in their beds
Bathtub smelly clumpy red
Mummy kiss good night the dead
Stab my little doll with pins
Make me suffer for your sins!
Once again we shall begin
The Scarctic Circle Gathering”.

I actually even have that text written on my door, and I intend to usually write as the welcome text on my pages – unless it’s facebook, where I have “And Loneliness – It Makes Nights Endless” which is from the “Deadache” (Deadache, 2008) song, and on my MySpace I have “The Way You shine is killing me…” which is from “My Heaven Is Your Hell” (Monsterican Dream, 2004)

Doesn’t really matter, SCG’s are only the intros anyway. It’s two weeks until this pretty thing is released, and its two weeks and three days until Paula and I will land in Helsinki for the release gig. I can’t wait, my brother even commented that I was “over-excited” over this.

I know there is a couple of Lordi fans reading this, tell me, are you feeling the same that I do? That this may be the best thing they ever did?

One Response to “Lordi”

  1. Yeah….

Deadache was a bit dissapointing after the enormous brilliance showed in “The Arockalypse”(2006) But the new snippets of Babez for Breakfast, have highlighted exactly what perfection Mr. Lordi’s writing can rise to.

We’ve had the Arockalypse…. so lets get some Breakfast 😉
