Dark Decadence
Oh my gaylord, it’s been a long while since it actually happened but oh well. Let me tell you about the weekend. It was really one of the best weekends ever, and in a real long time. Started out already on Friday when me and Sofia hit Stockholm pretty early to work it on the shoppingstreets. I’d like to say we did pretty well. We always do. Some new make up, patches, bags – you name it. Dinner was eaten at Tacobar. We love the place. ❤
During Saturday we got some shopping done as well, I really remember I got a cardigan to bring to the show just-in-case. Fun thing – when we walked down the street from Shock, we saw a guy we thought looked cool and we kept staring at him (we had just been whining over the fact there were NO rockers in town) and as we got closer to him we just kept staring… only to realize it was our dear friend Jesper! Now THAT was random. We hit the hotel again after some last minute shopping to get ready for the gig and after that get going. Thanks to Angie, we found the trailway and also managed to get to Cirkus, where she and Joiz was kind enough to wait for us! We hit the arena and hooked up with Mik and her boyfriend. Went inside to hook up with some of Sofias friends.. AND running into Jesper again! Nice nice.

Ok, so they were supposed to let us in right, so they opened the doors and we kinda experienced the Lordi 2006 all over (when they open the other doors!) Just to let us into… another hallway. We were like W.T.F. At this moment babygirl Sara joined us too. Talking about collecting a gang, huh? Either way. At first they said we were gonna sit down (yeah, they forced to actually SIT DOWN!) for 45 minutes, but already after what, like six minutes they opened the doors… TO LET US IN TO YET ANOTHER HALLWAY! I mean, what in the name of god?! Why didn’t they just let us in the second hallway right away?! We stood there for about 20 minutes or something before they ACTUALLY opened the doors to the arena…. So finally we got in! As usual, Martin Sweets side the whole gang of us.
I had noticed during the day that there were VERY few The 69 Eyes fans there. It’s a shame – they are like one of the greatest. And sadly (SORRY) they were the ones to start first today – pretty much only because Stockholm is Crashdiets town so they figured Crashdiet would get the longer set (and I wonder, was it really that much longer?!)
I must say though – for having sucha boring and dead audience that the 69 had, they still delivered ridiculously good. Jyrki was on fire flirting with the audience and the hyperrabbit Jussi we shouldn’t even talk about. I enjoyed it all so bad. I find it really sad they played sucha short set that they did, but I guess there is really nothing to do about it, is it? The setlist was however: Devils / Never Say Die / Perfect Skin / Sister Of Charity / Dead Girls Are Easy / Brandon Lee / Lost Boys.

So the Helsinki Vampires were chased off stage to get it ready for Crashdiet and… I mean, maybe it is me who have seen Crashdiet both way too much on this tour, and way too much in a short time – but the set is getting kinda old. Just as usual, they opened with “Down With The Dust” and the set was pretty much the same as it always has been, ‘cept from no “Save Her” (Why? Why on earth would you take THAT ONE away?!?!). What does, despite this, make the concert special and great – is the energy and the spirit the boys have. I can, in all honesty, say I’ve never ever seen them this fired up, this happy. I had never, until this day, seen Simon smile in real life, but today it seemed like he couldn’t stop. I don’t know whats the reason behind this – if it was because they were home, because it’s the end of a decadent tour or all together, I don’t care. I was thrilled to see them so happy. But I do wonder – was this really THAT much longer than the previous tour?
Setlist: Down With The Dust / So Alive / Riot In Everyone / Native Nature / Queen Obscene / Rebel / Beautiful Pain / Breakin The Chainz / Generation Wild.

Ok. Time to get ready for the nights headliner which was Hardcore Superstar – I’m gonna be honest with you, until this day I haven’t really cared much for them. I had seen them live a couple of times and I have one record, but they never stuck you know? Yeah – until this concert. Something about this concert just made them stuck. If it is because they are the greatest live band in Sweden, the material of Split Your Lip or just me getting used to them, I don’t know, but I can be proud to say that they are now stuck for me and I can’t wait to see them again.

So yeah… That pretty much covers the show. Afterwards we hooked up with the people again deciding what we would do for the night (= going back to the hotel) and saying good bye to all the awesome people. But glamourous as we are, me and Sofia took a cab. And in all honesty… I’m pretty happy we did! It was a bit creepy outside for GOD knows what reason. We pretty much crashed directly when we got back.
Sunday.. yeah well. WE DONT CELEBRATE SUNDAYS! Like Hardcore Superstar said. This was the last day, so we took a nice breakfast, went to the cinemas to see “Hop”. I adore the movie, it was awesome and the animals in it… So pretty.

One more thing… Swebus kinda sucks. We were waiting for the bus for like 30 minutes and we were kinda broken up about it… But we were still glad we would spend around what, three more hours together. But of course, OF COURSE, the manager says “Everyone going to Örebro in this bus please!”.. Meaning Sofia had to go with another bus. Were we pissed? Yeah you bet. Did it get worse? Oh yeah. Turns out my bus DID stop in Örebro ANYWAY!!!! WHAT THE!!! AHHHH WHYY WHYYY…. Ok Rage time is over.
Well yes… That pretty much covers the weekend. I can’t wait to ALMOST do it all over again at Cinderella.. Why is it so far away?
