The Savage Playground

Posted in Concerts, Uncategorized on February 26, 2013 by Sara Hammerzmith

Hello, hello, hello.

Figured I’d pop in to tell you I’m alive. As you know, we popped in to see Crashdiet with their fellow supportacts (Toxic Rose, Sister, Gotham Saints) in Oslo this weekend, and it sure was fun. I’m still a little bummed we didn’t get to keep the ticket, but oh well. I’ll survive.

The show itself was just fine. Toxic Rose opened and did so very strong even though the audience was poor. I’m not kidding when I tell you it was only one line at the fence. After them it was time for Gotham Saints, which did just fine. I’m vaguely aware of Gotham since before, so I’m not sure if I’m one to say anything certain about them, and the same goes for Toxic Rose actually, but they both did just fine.

After them Sister was coming up. They did great. They were just as energetic as they always have been when I’ve seen them, and I really like the setlist they had for the night.  Last, but not least, was Crashdiet. Their performance was fine (feels like I’ve said that a couple of times now, haha) but I must say I missed some songs like “So Alive”, “Down With The Dust” and “Native Nature”, but I guess this was somewhat to be expected. They played a good deal of the new material though.

And I loved the bellydance. I could not stop staring at her. Lovely lady, and lovely clothes.

Sadly, the light wasn’t all that good for my camera, so I don’t have many pictures. I hope you’ll do with this one!

We had quite a fun night afterwards with dancing to “The Riff” and wandering about all over Oslo. I’ve never been happier when I stepped onto the bus that morning.

But. It’s getting late here now, it’s 3:32 in the morning. I need to sleep.

See yah!

DisneyChannel, why do continually show the same Gravity Falls episode after one another? They’ve just shown “The Hand That Rocks Mabel”, and now they show it again? What the fuck. And what’s up with the censored fez? Gah.

But if we stop talking about that for a while. Hello. Haven’t dropped in here for a while, and that may be because I just, yesterday, bought my first piece of furniture ever. That meaning, that I paid for myself. It’s sort of a chair. It’s like a mattress you can fold into a chair. But you know what’s even better than the chair?

The box. The fantastic box, as Michelle called it. Thing is, I sat on it when cutting up the tape, and I got the crazy idea that maybe I could lie down on it. When it was standing up like on the picture, and I could. So after a while I pulled out a blanket and put on Lordi’s album and relaxed for a good hour or two. On the top of the box. I think I even fell asleep for a little while too. Comfortable thing!

Oh yes.

But if we talk about today. I had a pretty chill day, I’d say. First I went downtown to get a few pieces of jewellery I had spotted a few days ago, two pair of earrings, one pair with snakes and one pair with pink stars. Love ’em. Could be useful this weekend!

After this I went over to Jennies place for a while to chill and talk about everything. Was a nice run, should do this more often. The day obviously ended with a rage-session with Michelle, but this time we actually ordered and planned this weekends concert-trip. Not sure if you know, but we’re going to Oslo to see Crashdiet together with Sister, Toxic Rose and Gotham Saints! This is going to be quite a blast, it’s been a long time since I last saw the fellas.

But look. It’s early in the morning, I gotta head to bed. See you later!

Lordi to Sweden… what?!

Posted in Uncategorized on February 18, 2013 by Sara Hammerzmith

Hello, hello, hello.

So last Friday Argo cracked the news about Lordi possibly playing Skogsröjet, and a day later we got the news confirmed. Lordi truly ARE playing Skogsröjet.

Well… It was quite a shock I must say. I did not see this one coming, and I’m not even sure what I think about it. But I mean. It’s fun they are playing here. Just not sure about the place.

Either way. I just figured I should drop by, I haven’t written here for some time now. Gotta be better at this.

Rest in Peace – Sweet Like Sugar “Sture”

Posted in Uncategorized on February 13, 2013 by Sara Hammerzmith

Today one of my homebred rabbits passed away, at an age of nine.

I don’t really know what to say about it, or about him. He sure is one of the rabbits to ever cause me so much harm as he did, couldn’t touch him without him giving me at least ONE scratch. Preferably three.

And that’s why I’ll miss him. No one to scratch me anymore.

Rest in Peace, Sture. I’ll love you always.

Wreck-It Ralph, To Beast or Not To Beast, and what not…

Posted in CDs, Uncategorized on February 10, 2013 by Sara Hammerzmith

Hello, hello, hello.

Last Friday must have been one of the best days ever. First off, I started my day with some good news regarding a certain event, and got some sweet pressmaterial while having a delicious breakfast after a fantastic morning shower. Afterwards, my mum and I went shopping for the weekend, stuff like kneepads and such. Boda Borg COULD be considered an extremesport, I guess.

—- SPOILERS FROM WRECK IT RALPH  WILL APPEAR BENEATH—-

Later one I headed downtown to meet up with Emelie and Michelle for some “fancy” lunch (I guess?) at Subway before we hit the premiere of Wreck-it Ralph. Despite me being a bit unsure about the movie at first, I liked it. A lot. I liked it very much, and I just wanted to punch Ralph when he wrecked Vanellope’s go-cart. And I gotta use Felix’s pickup line on someone at some time. Seriously. At our way home from the movies I also received some pretty fantastic news. Not gonna share’em here though.

—-SPOILERS FROM TO BEAST OR NOT TO BEAST WILL APPEAR BENEATH—-

After dropping Emelie off later we went home, ordered pizza and got to our “Awca-ritual”. Yes, that’s right. The first listen to “To Beast or Not To Beast”, Lordi’s new album for the people who doesn’t know. We even set the mood with a lot of candles, a sacrificial hamster and pizza. Everything was just perfect.

And so was the album. Or perfect may be a bit strong… but it was good. Really good. It’s like The Arockalypse and Deadache had a child, and this is it. I can’t really pick a favorite song, but it’s somewhere between “Candy for the Cannibal”, “Something Wicked This Way Comes”, “Schizo Doll” and “Horrifiction”. They are all kinda Deadache-ish, perhaps with a little touch of Babez, but mainly Deadache. I’m still shocked though from hearing Mr Lordi curse through an entire chorus. That was unexpected, especially as we can recall him saying at one point he wouldn’t do it, because it’s the easy way out.

But yes, like I said, it’s hard as hell to choose ONE favorite, it’s easier to say that the songs I liked the least on the album is like, “Happy New Fear”, “The Riff” and “I’m The Best“, although, I wouldn’t say they are bad or anything. The mixing is a lot better on this album than it was on Babez, and the overall composing is just perfect. The only thing I miss, is Kita’s backingvocals. It feels a bit empty without his sweet and soft voice screaming in the background, but it also kinda adds to it that the backings are all dark.

But I liked it. No, loved it. I loved it. This is THE era of Lordi, and I’m glad I’ll be seeing as many gigs as I am with them this era.

I even love the “Dinner is Served!” in the beginning of “We’re Not Bad For The Kids (We’re Worse)“. And of course the band would be screaming, they were kept waiting three years for dinner. Damn it, Wagener! They may be monsters, but they get hungry too.

———— SPOILER OVER———–

But okay. Almost 4 am in the morning. Bed is calling. My body’s aching from Boda Borg, but I figured I’ll tell you more about that tomorrow.

Sincerely With Love

————– SPOILERALERT——————————

I’m not blogging from the normal computer, so I don’t have my awesome Clopin logo, but I hope this one works. I’ll be writing a little about Lordi’s upcoming album “To Beast or Not To Beast”, or as I call it, Album Without a Cool Acronym beneath, and if you don’t want any spoilers, I strongly suggest you stop read about now.

————SPOILERALERT———————————–

So tomorrow’s gonna be the day when I’ll finally, at last, together with my platypus, sit down and listen to Lordi’s new album. It’s been in my possession since a few weeks back, but I figured it was a bit too early to review it, so I figured I’d wait, especially since I could do a little ritual with my platypus while at it.

But you know, we aren’t dun goofed. There are some stuff we’ve heard already, like the beginning of the first song, whose name I believe is “We’re Not Bad For The Kids (We’re Worse)”. I tell you. When I heard that damn intro, I thought I had gotten the wrong album. I mean, I was basically listening to a death metal album you know? But as the song continued a little, I recognized the voice of my beloved monster, and you know… Shit just got real, just saying.

Yesterday I was burning the songs onto a CD, since I prefer to listen to them through my stereo rather than through the computer, this leading to me hearing the intro to all the songs. After a while I reached the song “Sincerely With Love”, which had a nice intro-beat  I was banging my head a little to the rhythm, it’s a pretty common rhythm really, so yeah. You know. And then all of a sudden, I hear Mr Lordi’s voice crack through going

“Fuck you asshole, fuck you asshole”.

I’m not even in the slightest lying or trying to be funny when I say that I sat there with my mouth wide open, breathing heavily, almost panting, crying and in between letting small psychotic laughs escape my lips. I guess this is what it is like being in shock. But yes, that’s my reaction. I can’t ever recall ever hearing this man swear ever before, let alone in a song.

Well. One thing’s for sure. This album will be one of a kind, and upside down, and what not. I guess I’ll see if I’ll live after tomorrow.

First Wreck-It Ralph at the movies, and then this. Fuck me sideways.

Damaged Kid

Posted in Uncategorized on February 2, 2013 by Sara Hammerzmith

Finally, after a lot of fucking struggle, I’m at last done with this weeks school-assignment.

I don’t know what’s wrong with me, but for some reason, if I don’t find the school-assignment fun enough I just can’t do it. I try, I try so hard, but I just can’t come through with it. Four hours after deadline today, that’s when I turned it in. At last. And that is solely because my favorite fanfic has been updated after two weeks of waiting, and I said to myself that I CAN NOT read it until I’m done with it.

And now I am, so I’m heading over to Fanficition.net now to read “Empty Apartment”, as it is called.

This weekend Emelie and I are headed to the youthleaders course again, will be… interesting to say the least. We’ll see if we survive, haha.

But right. Crisps, coke, and fanfic. That’s what I was gonna do.

Good night!

Finally, unhappily, married!

Posted in The Sims, Uncategorized on February 1, 2013 by Sara Hammerzmith

So, for the first time ever, I’ve hosted a The Sims 3 wedding, between Mikayla Makoola and Wei Keane (or something like that).

Wei has cheated on Mikayla about three times before this marriage could finally go through, but because of my laziness, she has to put up with this son of a llama.

Anyway, Congratulations Mikayla and Wen!

I’ll introduce you further to the Makoola’s tomorrow, I need to get some sleep now.
