2011 – a summary and predictions.

Posted in Uncategorized on December 31, 2011 by Sara Hammerzmith

Alright, here we stand for yet another new year and yet again I’ll write a summary and predictions. So, lets first of all make a short summary.

January
January was a calm month. Not much happened, more than a Crashdiet gig, which was our second in a month, and the obsession with the Saddle Club was… enourmous.

February
February was about to be big for me. You see, five years ago, I discovered this glamband called The Show By SO., but, mainly because of agelimits, I had never been able to see them live. And when I was old enough, they never played anywhere possible to go, if they played. But since the vocalist was kicked out of his other band, he got more time for SO., and they started to do more shows, and as it happens, they had the releaseparty for their first full-length album in February, more exactly on February 4th. And this time, finding cheapflights and having a good economy, I took the shot.

In Finland I did for the first time ever met Argo, or eeesti999 for the fellow Monsterboarders. I also met Anthalerero (same on MB) for the first time. And.. most importantly. I got to see Honey Hellraiser and The Show By SO. (Nowadays Stala&SO.) for the very first time. My life felt, almost, complete.

March
In March, we saw the start of The Ark’s farewell tour, home in Karlstad actually. It was magical, one of the best gigs I have seen with them, ever. And that’s pretty much it, that is worth telling of.

April
April was an exciting month. First of all, we began it with seeing Michael Monroe in Västerås. I kinda abuse this saying, but that was one of the best.. EVER. I’ve never had so much fun, and never been more entertained. I’ve said it before, Michael Monroe is one of the best frontmen out there.
April was also the month when Stala&SO. decided to take on my favesong on their next record, and they told me so!
And at last, Dark Decadence took place. That was one of the best nights in my life. I went there with Angelina, Joiz, Mik, Sara, Sofia and Jesper and I can assure you… all of us had the times of our lives. The best.

May
In May I took a little trip to Germany to attend Eurovision Song Contest (again, hehe) You know. I love Eurovision. I love to be there. It’s like… I can’t even. You have to be there to understand. And this year was a pretty good ESC year too, so I enjoyed every minute and shed a few tears when leaving Espirit Arena for the last time after the final…

June
I had decided this year, to not attend Sweden Rock Festival, partly because of lack of REALLY good bands and partly because of you know, THEM. GWAR. But it wasn’t an empty month! Maria and I went to Sunne to see The Poodles in the middle of June, where we met Malin, whom I apparenly had talked to for years! Haha, faith sometimes… June was also the time Cinderella came back to Sweden again… That was a happy day. I love Cinderella so badly and have missed them since Sweden Rock ’10. I went there with Mik and Sofia, best company for the night!

July
It was time for annual Alice Cooper show! Ever since 2007, I have somehow managed to see Alice Cooper live once a year, and this year was no exception! However, Badmouth had their releaseparty for their record “Heavy Metal Parking Lot” on July 1st, which I really wanted to attend, so it ended up so good that we, me and my mum, went to Stockholm for the party, and the next day me and  Joiz went to Sommarkrysset to see The Ark perform, where we met up with Mik, Katja, Sara and Elin, nice reunion! And on Monday, Alice! With Sofia, Joiz and Mik. Are you surprised? I thought so.

In July, we also saw Reckless Love live for the very first time, Sofia and I hopped on a plane to Finland, then on a train to Tampere together with Argo, to finally see our beloved finnish boys.

August
August.. Aah! In August we attended the festival Skogsröjet, where we could see bands as Sister, Badmouth, Pretty Boy Floyd and Hardcore Superstar. And more, of course. I was there with Jesper, Mik, Joiz, Angelina, Malin and Sofia and met up with Chris and Mike and a few more. I also had my birthdayparty a week later, that was way epic. I saw The Ark live in Gothenburg again too, way nice.

September
September was the first time I ever tried to do this ” Four Days Of Gigs”. I began on Wednesday, Sept. 14th with Stala&SO. + Honey Hellraiser in Helsinki, releaseparty for their record “Gimme Five”. But this night.. I have no words for it. To begin with, I was there with Argo again. We went to On The Rocks to await Anushka, or meet up with Anushka it might be, and so yeah, we met her, and then Anthalerero came in the door with a couple of german fans… which turned out to be some of my best friends ever. You might know them as Eva, Alexander and Marcel. This night was the… I have no fucking words, I have NO FUCKING WORDS. We also met Harri later that night, uhuh. Probably.. I can’t… There ain’t words for this night.

The next day I hooked up with Joiz as I arrived back in Sweden and headed down to Kafe 44 to see Vïetcong Pornsürfers. I have listened to the band for many many years now, just never seen them before. They were real good though, but what I reacted on the most was the contrast, haha, from Finland.

And then it was Friday the 16th. I think some of you who reads this knows exactly what happened this day. It was The Arks very very very last show ever. Maria came down to Stockholm and joined up with me and Joiz as we went down to Gröna Lund (worst ‘arena’ ever!) We actually, by surprise ran into “The Poodles Malin” as we were there! Sara, Elin and the Jedheads came too, and yes. The Angelheads was already there, obviously. It was a magical night, a night of sadness. I ran into Ellinor, one of the angelheads I got to know a bit more over the years and got to giver her one last hug before we all left the arena with heavy hearts.

And to wrap up this madness, I saw Jedward live at Fryshuset, where I met the Jedhead Elin for the first time! Joiz, as the angel she is, kept me company the whole day, hihi. Jedward did also put on one of the best shows I have ever seen.

We wrapped up the month with Badmouth and Gilby Clarke, it was Sofia, Malin, Daniel and I who went there, and we hooked up with the wonderful Evelina! Had a blast that night, that’s for sure.

October
This was an empty month. I guess it’s fair enough, having five gigs in September and then three in November. The Sims 3 Pets did however come out, or, I got it in October, which turned out to be my favourite expansion ever, it even kicked On    Holidays ass. And then you know it’s good.

November
Alright… first, on the ‘epic’ date 11/11/11, Maria and I saw Hardcore Superstar in Karlstad, with Avatar as support, and we kinda fell in love with them. This night Karlstad also proved to me they are the WORST PLACE to have concerts at. I hate the audience in Karlstad.
Good thing, my hatred wasn’t for long, as I one week later headed once again for Finland and Helsinki, to see Stala&SO. + Honey Hellraiser again, and again, with Argo, Alexander, Eva and Anthalerero. I met Janne for the first time too, and Jasmin and Joni joined in as well. We had so much fun. Met up with Harri again as well, for some reason, nights in Helsinki always turns out to be the best ever.

A week later, it was time for the longplanned and longwanted Lichtenfels trip. That trip, which I did with Michelle, Paula, Martine and Cecilie, was the most epic ever. We met up with Anushka, Marika, Anthalerero, Eva, Michael, Marcel, Alexander (+family) and Argo once down there… We had the time of our lives. We also met Mr Lordi after the gig, and I saw HammerFall live again. It have felt like ages, but it is apparently only one year since I saw them the last.

December
In December, Sofia and I boarded a plane to London to see Mötley Crüe tour with Def Leppard and Steel Panther. The little did we know, even if the line up is shitepic, that this would be the best tour we’ve ever seen. I have no fucking words for it whatsoever, I just know I want to see MORE AND MORE! It was… Unbelievable.

So well, that kinda sums up my year. Lets watch last years predictions and see how they were fullfilled:

* To see Reckless Love live – DONE
* To see Stala&SO. live – DONE
* To see Lordi live – DONE
* To see Bon Jovi live – X
* To see Slaughter live – X
* To meet new Lordi fans – DONE
* To hang out more with my friends – DONE.

Only two failures, so I gotta say I hit it pretty good! For next year then.

Bands I hope to see live is… which aren’t already confirmed that is… Pretty Boy Floyd, Slaughter, Bon Jovi, Van Halen, Lordi, Stala&SO, Honey Hellraiser… I also which to hang out more with the people and meet more rockstars, uhuh. See how that goes!!

Yes well… I think I will call it the end there! So, see you in the next year, Bloggy Bloggy!

Thanks to everyone who made my year epic. And a little extra thanks to Alexander P, Andrea P, Anushka D, Angel G, Angelina R, Anna L, Anne-Lise M, Anthalerero M, Argo P, Cecilie H, Cornelia P, Crystal L, Curt U, Elias E, Elin H, Elin J, Elina B, Elina K, Ellinor J, Emelie V, Emma R, Eva H, Evelina R, Chris, Mike, Tom, Randy, Vinnie, Felicia H-K, Hanna G, Hanna H, Ida E, Janne S, Jasmin B, Jesper B, Johanna J, Joiz S, Jonathan N, Joni M, Jordan M, Josefine L, Juha S, Miko, Harri, Julia K-D, Kasper S, Lina L, Lina S, Linn B, Malin S, Malin S, Lizbet B, Maria N, Lovisa C, Madde S, Maja V, Malin B, Malin L, Maria B, Marcel F, Maria S, Marina, Marion P, Lorenz D, Markus S, Marjolein V-D, Martin T, Martina A, Martine F, Max, Michael H, Michal B, Michelle R, Mik S, Paula L, Peter O, Peter D, Renata K, Renate F, Sara A, Sara N, Sofia A, Sophie A, Thomas C, Trevor J, Trixie H, Tuija L, Wiliame J.

Too Young To Fall In Love

Posted in Uncategorized on December 27, 2011 by Sara Hammerzmith

My alltime favourite Mötley Crüe song. I wish they could put it back on their setlists. The video is pretty freaked out though…

Alright, so we are like on the bus right now to Oslo, where we’re gonna spend a week and celebrate New Years Eve with the Lordipeeps, hoho.

So, what have happened in the last? Well, I looked through the entire house for my very first Mötley CD but didn’t fnd it at first, which was kind of a fuck my life situation, but then I did find it all covered in dust. So glad – you see, it contains “Smokin In The Boys Room” and ever since the concert I have craved it, haha.

Talking about the Crüe, I also took myself the time to dig up The Dirt and Heroine Diaries just to realize The Dirt has turned from white to yellow of aging. Now thats being a fan for a while! Hoho!

So. It’s 30 minutes we arrive in Oslo… and the first thing we will do is first to unload our six(!!!) bags that we have with us, and then pick up mine and Sofias concerttickets to Steel Panther!! We had a little mishap with them, our original order were supposed to be picked up yesterday, but placing a new one allowed us to get them today! Woohoo!

London Part Three

Posted in London 2011, Uncategorized on December 25, 2011 by Sara Hammerzmith

So. We woke up after what truly is the most epic evening in our lives. How do you even get up after an evening like that? Well, we did eventually, got down to have breakfast again.

But you know, we did have plans for this day as well! We were gonna do some shopping. Since we have no idea how to work around London, we texted my mother and asked her directions to Hamleys, to begin there. My friend Emelie from the stable had told me they had amazing Harry Potter stuff there, so I figured I just had to go there! So we went to Picadilly Circus as she said first and then started to walk… in the wrong direction. So we called her up, and led us right again. And by this, we ended up on Regent / Oxford street, which is kind of Londons Drottninggatan I believe.

The first store we went into and purchased anything in was Mango. I got a turtlenecked knitted black shirt that I was looking for in Sweden already, love it!  Sofia got a lepardprinted Jacket, a jacket she’s been looking for too!

We kept walking the streets, went into some stores, mainly it’s like designerstores you know, so they weren’t too interesting.  We found Hamleys after a while and it was… a dream. ALL THESE PLUSHIES!!! Damn. It was hard to leave you know. And when we reached the floor with Harry Potter….  I…. no. It’s not okay. It’s at moments like this you want and need MUCH MUCH money. We didn’t purchase shit, but I swear to god how much didn’t we wanna have… We left before we did something stupid, and took the oppurtunity to play with some screaming toys.

We kept walking up the street and we managed to run into someone who was seated next to Sofia on the concert actually! What are the odds… We also reached TopShop… Malin had warned us about the place, but of course we had to go there… and we shouldn’t. Just as she said, there were SO MUCH nice stuff… but mainly… I fell in love with a lepardprinted shirt. I wasn’t however sure if I really should get it, so we figured we would go and have a snack, we were getting pretty tired.

Having this little snack (discussing Nikki Sixx so loudly people kept staring at us) we felt more.. energetic. So we figured we would give Oxford Street another shot, and first we went back to TopShop to get the leopard top… that had.. VANISHED! For some damn reason, it had… VANISHED! What the fuck, how is it even possible? Apparently it is. So well, fuck it.

It was starting to get dark, so we checked out an underwear store and then a giftshop store which in my opinion, was the best store we were ever into. I got a few gifts there, pins for my jacket and a Jack Daniels shotglass. It was also the kindest staff ever!

We had decided earlier that we were gonna have dinner with Malin and the gang, so we got back to the hotel, fixed ourselves and then head for the dinner place. We also managed to miss the busstop, so we had to run a busstation to get to the subway. But once on the subway it felt a little better. We were almost alone in our carriage so we kinda lost it you know, the way only me and Sofia can loose it. Eventually we did get to the part of town were the restaurant were located and then we, as goo as we could, run there.

The boys had already ordered for us, so we pretty instantly got the food, which was duck. I have never had duck before, so it was kinda interesting, but OH so tasty! For desert we had like, icecream with applepie. That was also, extremly, good.  After this, we got back to the hotel, sunk the last drips of Jack Daniels and then passed out…

So… last day. And the only thing we could really do was to.. do nothing. We cleaned the room to make sure we didn’t forget anything (which I almost did anyway), had one last hotelbreakfast and then we went downstairs to say goodbye to Malin and then.. head downtown. Sofia had seen this gorgeous red leatherjacket that she was thinking about the day before, so we went back and she got it. GREAT choice! We also went back to the giftshop to get some more gifts and then we headed for the airport.

And seriously, what is wrong with people in London? Here we are with alotta luggage, waiting for the Hearthrow Line, and people KEEP going before us? WHAT THE FUCK, WE HAVE A FLIGHT TO CATCH!! Eventually, after 30 minutes or something, we did get on. Thank god. Once there we at first couldn’t check in, because it was too early (like one hour) so we waited and then when we were going back.. we had to queue for an hour. Then we checked in, and were in line for another 30 minutes and then we finally had our luggage checked in, and once so far it felt safe. We went through security control and then we just chilled. We hadn’t got a gate, but we stayed at the gate were the earlier Sweden flights had left, right infront of a big screen.

This screen, did eventually become our entertainment. It was around 6pm, and there was a Madrid Plane that was supposed to have left at 3pm, still there. And some flights got cancelled, some departed… It was like russian roulette! They even had departures to the weirdest places which we looked up on google. We sang “Community Property” to the people  with the Copenhagen flight, and yes. They also seemed to play russian roulette with the Sweden flights, seeing every second flight being cancelled and every second departuring. And since we NEVER got a gate we were like OK what the fuck. half an hour before departure, we figured we would go get some candy, and of course, while we did so, we did get a gate and when we realised it, it was like “final call”. FUCK YOU.

We managed to get with the plane, We came home on time even if we were a bit delayed, we spent the night at arlanda with horny germans, riding escalators and other madness stuff. “Whats wrong, leZebra?” Haha. Sofias flightbus left earlier than mine and then… mine did too… and then.. home.

This was, as I have said, one of the best trips, and we aren’t even gonna talk about the concert. It was perfection in every corner. I can’t wait to do Steel Panther this spring. Oh yes.

London part two – THE CONCERT

Posted in Concerts, London 2011, Uncategorized on December 25, 2011 by Sara Hammerzmith

So yes. The next day we got up, what is in my book, kinda early to get down and have some of the delicious hotelbreakfast. I love hotelbreakfast. It’s always so many options.

So we got down, and got seated and they offered us hot beverage… and then we hit the buffet like hungry pagans, hohoho! Actually, I didn’t have much… because… I always have problem eating abroad, because they don’t have the same as they have in Sweden, so you never know what it tastes like. At least the scrambled eggs and bacon tasted the same! And the other that I had too, of course, haha.

Since today was the concertday we figured we were gonna stay at the hotel or nearby the entire day, so we wouldn’t risk missing the concert, it would, you see, be just our luck to miss the whole shit if we left. We had planned to take a day in the spa, but since I didn’t bring any bathing clothes, we had to look for some. The hotelmanagers recommended us to try JD Sports (Jack Daniels sports?!) so we walked there. As we did so, we also passed the mighty Wembley Arena, hoho! That was rather epic. We walked for what felt like hours (and she said it was around the corner!) but we found it, and inside… we found no bathing clothes, so I end up buying male underwear instead, works just as good. And since we had a Lidl next to us, to went inside to pick up some candy and such, for, sort of, dinner, eveningfood, whatever!

Then we got back, and we got into the spa… and must have been the suckiest spa ever. We were hitting the jacuzzi, right, so we thought it was really a hottub, but it turns out it wasn’t! It was like, a small offspring to the bigger pool, and it wasn’t even hot! I think we stayed there for 15 minutes or something before we decided to go back to our hotelroom to make our own spa in the bathtub, and when doing so we could also listen to Sister and have some drinks. We also took the oppurtunity to see what happens if you pour a lotta Jack Daniels into the bath too. It actually… was pretty good I must say!

After this we started to make up ourselves and get ready for the show. Sofia was doing this all Nikki Sixx kind of epic outfit and I wore a lepard printed dress with simple tights. By the time we hit the arena it was dark outside, the lights had been lit on Wembley Arena and the queues were enourmous. It wasn’t a huge problem – for the first we are well used to queue, and for the second we had seats anyway so there was no need to be there earlier. And if we would have had standing we would probably have been there earlier… haha. But when we stood there queueing.. and talking lots of random things having fun about no one understanding us, the guard passed by and asked us if we were standing or seated, since apparently there are two entrances with the same name, and as we were seated, we could use another entrance and go into the arena immidiatley!

So we, of course did. On the way down random fans were highfiving us, and it may be the first time in real long that I haven’t had my bag searched for dangerous items. So we were inside. What is the first thing you do. For many, to hit the beers. But for us, hit the merchandise. One Steel Panther (Balls Out Tour) and one Def Leppard (Discoball Tour) shirts were the first one I got. I had told myself I wouldn’t have a Mötley one, since I already have so many and a pretty tight economy for this specific trip.

After getting our merch we got into some kind of queue again to get to enter the arena with the seats… and.. THIS IS SO DISTRUBING. As we stood there, we read the sign that was above us.

Do you see it? DO YOU SEE HOW THEY SPELLED MÖTLEY CRÜE?!?!?! That is… not okay. F.U. Either way, they did eventually let us in, and we got outselves a drink before getting inside, and to our great surprise, realize, we were sitting in front row on our section! That is so awesome, so we didn’t have to worry about getting tall people infront of us. We could have gotten maybe a few seats better, but apart from that, it was as good as possible!

And this… I love London, or maybe it’s Steel Panther I love. RIGHT ON THE MINUTE, they start. They opened with “SuperSonicSexMachine” and continued on with “Tomorrow Night”.  Last time I saw these guys were at Sweden Rock 2010, and I must say I kinda missed them. Their music, their cheeky speeches, THEM in a whole! And also. They must be like, the perfect glammetal band out there, seriously. They are using every sort of cliche, which makes it perfect. They are perfection. And I must say, I was impressed by how well the audience seemed to know them, I got chills in “Community Property” when you could hear the audience so well.. Ohh. And the epicness in “Gold Digging Whore”… Uh. That one is just awesome live.
Set: Supersonicsexmachine / Tomorrow Night / Asian Hooker / Just Like Tiger Woods / Gold Digging Whore / Community Property / 17 Girls In A Row / Death To all But Metal

Then it was time for a pause. We just you know… talked. I mean, what else can you do? I tweeted a bit, and then I watched the clock and we were like “Ohh they will begin in a few minutes!” and just… talking. We asked ourselves also if they couldn’t begin soon when the whole arena just….

Exploded. BANG! And Mötley were already on stage. No one had noticed, the light hadn’t even been turned out!!! And with what must be the most epic opening ever, Mötley entered the stage to “Wildside” (kinda expected but who gives a damn).  Followed up with “Saints Of Los Angeles”… “Live Wire…” You know. This stage… must have been something of the most epic that I’ve seen since the Carnival Of Sins DVD. The stage they have had on festivals and the gig back in ’07 were fine, but this was just massive. It was… so Mötley somehow. It was like it was taking right out of “The Dirt”, and you could almost feel the exhaustion you know? And the fact they still play “Same Ol’ Situation” always warms my heart, one of my big faves and pretty special since it’s the first Mötley song I ever heard.

“Primal Scream”, “Home Sweet Home” and “Looks That Kills” were the songs fired off before we were about to witness the coolest stuff we have… ever seen. The Drum Rollercoaster. Tommy were supposed to bring it in’07, but for some reason couldn’t, and after that I never heard anything about it. Until now. IT WAS THERE. So he played his solo and after a while he started spinning in that thing. I mean, COME ON. How is it possible, this is… I have no words for the epicness!

And even less when he stopped the wheel, and said he had an extra seat for a fan. So he pulled someone out of the audience, who got to take a spin. LUCKY FUCKING BASTARD.  The band joined in and they played “Dr. Feelgood”.

The concert ran pretty smoothly after this before they ended the show with “Kickstart My Heart”.  They always kinda wrap up a bit weird, but the epicness fixed that for this time. Thanks Mötley Crüe, for proving to me that you are one of the best out there, and that I shall remain a slave for you!
Set: Wildside / Saints Of Los Angeles / Live Wire / Shout At The Devil / Same Ol’ Situation / Primal Scream / Home Sweet Home / Looks That Kills / Dr. Feelgood / Motherfucker Of The Year / Girls, Girls, Girls / Smokin’ In The Boys Room / Kickstart My Heart

Sadly, I don’t have any pictures good enough to throw up from Mötley, so I guess you will have to do without. And right on time, after a while of pause, Def Leppard finally began! When I saw them at Sweden Rock back in the days, I wasn’t that much into them, so I was looking well forward to see them, after being a bit more into them! However, I didn’t take any notes on the setlist, so I can’t tell you what songs and in what order… but my god!

What a light show! It is probbably one of the most spectacular I have ever seen, and always when I listened to “Pour Some Sugar On Me” for myself in my ipod, I always had this little vision about how it would look like during “Red Light, Yellow Light, Green Light GO!”… and.. it looked better. Than I could ever have imagined. This was… my god. I was kinda speechless.

And when they later wrapped up the whole shit with “Lets Get Rocked”.. I mean, I’m more into Leppard than I was on SRF ’08, but I wouldn’t say I’m hardcore, so for all I know, “Lets Get Rocked” may be a pretty big one in the “Leppard-world”, but since I always have bad luck on favourite songs, I was never expecting it. But there it was! Made my evening.

Neither do I have any particulary good pictures of Def Leppard to show, so yes, deal with it.

After this, and after consulting with my mother, I actually got another Mötley Crüe shirt. They had this pink shirt with epic print. Couldn’t go without. And in the line for the bathroom, a guy with a Swedish flag passed us and complimented Sofias outfit, and since we figured he was swedish, she said thanks to him in Swedish. OH MY GOD, his face haha! He stood for what, five minutes just figuring out what to answer to that. I know the feeling, haha. Happened to me in Finland a couple of times. That was one of the biggest epicness of the evening.

Afterwards, we left the Arena, not without difficulty and back to the hotel, headed for Malins room to hang out with them for a while and talk about the concert, and then pass out in our beds… Afte the most epic night in our lives.

London part one

Posted in London 2011, Uncategorized on December 22, 2011 by Sara Hammerzmith

Alrighty. All schoolwork is done and so, so now I can finally take my time to type this shit down.

It will probably, just as Lichtenfels, get divided in different parts to make it a bit easier to read. So. Yes, London it is! Me and Sofia had heard about this epic tour with Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard and Steel Panther together, and no matter how long we had to travel, we figured we had to see it. So yes, we booked and then the waiting began… and now it was here!

You know, I have to admit something. Whenever I’m going anywhere, I always get cold feet. I lay in bed and almost crying and repeatedly saying “I dont want to, I dont want to, I dont want to” but somehow I get up anyone and get on, probably because I know I’ll just regret it if I don’t. So yes, I got up got on the bus… and on the way Sofia hopped on the bus too, was so nice to meet her again! We hadn’t met for… I don’t even know… Since Oxhälja or something probably! How is that even possible. Apparently it is.

Anyhow, we got to Arlanda and got to check in, and seriously, I was scared, excited and all whoooaaa when we checked in, because we had to scan our passes and everything you know? It was like, whoa, finallly we use it somehow! And then after having breakfast/lunch, when we got to the gate we had to do something similar again! Spooky!

Yeah well… we had arrived to Arlanda later than usual, so the waiting wasn’t so long so after a while we got on the plane and departed… I slept most of the journey… and after a while… we were there! In London!! Ohhh yeahhh. So… what do to now? So now the insanity began kind of. We located the subway and got some help by a coworker there and in one way or another, actually managed to get to Alpterton station! And when we did so, we also passed Hammersmith, hoho!

So. From Alperton we took the bus, and at first I was unsure if we really should get off the bus at Wembley Stadium, but as we got there… we realized it was the best decision ever, since the station was RIGHT infront of the hotelentrance! So we got in, checked in, 6th floor (at least not in between!) got and unpacked and relaxed.

We decided to open up the wine we had gotten on the airport, and fittingly enough as we did so Malin came over (she was staying on the floor underneath) to check in. We had a nice chat with her before she had to head back to her room and Sofia and I stayed up a bit longer just talking…

Eventually we did get to bed and get some sleep…

Same old… same old situation…

Sitting here, came home from London earlier today and now I’m just in some sort of musiccoma just listening to Mötley Crüe and nothing but Mötley Crüe… The concert was overepic, and I’ll write more when I get.. less… tired.

WHEN I SAY MOTLEY YOU SAY CRUE – MOTLEY / CRUE MOTLEY / CRUE

Like A Prayer

Posted in Uncategorized on December 13, 2011 by Sara Hammerzmith

Favourite song out of the “Jay Smith” album. Seriously, It’s fine by Madonna, but when it’s done the rock way and with JAY singing considering his history and all… makes it ten or no, thousand times better. Fuck.

Okay, so it’s like 01.37am. At this point I’ve actually managed to pack all the clohtes I need, so now it ain’t much left. Thats the good thing with travelling with short time in between – since you never unpack (or I only unpack clothes to be washed), half of everything you need is already there, such as electricity, medicine and bathroom stuff. Thats is awesome.

And also, like this, in the middle of the night, I figured out what the heck to wear. Meshtop, Leotop and spandex. And you see, this is why Germany and Eurovision is awesome. The leotop, which is one of my highest beloved one, was bought in a Tally Weill store in Köln when we were at Eurovision. Why it makes ESC so great is because, if it would have been a normal concert, I would never have cared to stay to shop, but since ESC is a three day event spread over six days, you kinda have to stay in the country/city. And what the hell do you do. Well.. normally sightseeing maybe, but not if you are me, haha. Then you go shopping. And I find this beauty. And I care for it so much I keep it in the bag it came in, and thats why I tend to forget about it.

So yes. England it was… that will be weird. First time I go there, might be interesting. I’ll have my computer there and maybe I’ll give some updates juuhuu. But now, Madonna and packing. And Lussebulle eating. Hoho!!

Silence for the Peacefully

Posted in Uncategorized on December 12, 2011 by Sara Hammerzmith

Ever since I got the “Dreamin In A Casket” record a few days ago I’ve had this song on repeat. I like it more and more!

So. It’s like sunday night. I haven’t unpacked from Lichtenfels, so I haven’t packed for London. I have no clue what to wear, and it is at times like this I wish I had a proper pair of pants, cause, I don’t. I wonder where my zebraspandexes are. They are probably broken. What the hell to wear.

I was considering slaughtering a boring black shirt, but will I manage in time, and still make it look ok? Should have done laundry, now I have to make it early tomorrow and hope to god it will dry in time. I’m shuffling through my bandshirts, I find shit to wear. Maybe Deadache shirt, to what? I have no clue. PVC outfit again? With what?

This ain’t holding up. What the hell. And sad part is, all I can think about is New Years eve and plans for next year. And oh, I have to text my ridingteacher. Or I should have done two days ago. And I should have mailed my boss like a week ago. This is what we call FUCK MY LIFE.

But in the end, how hard can it fucking be. Longsleeved Pretty Boy Floyd shirt (it’s the fucking winter, lol.) to skirt and stockings. Naaah. Maybe not. What the hell. I will have to figure something out.

In the meantime, I must say I’m sooo looking forward to next years festivals. We have 2 planned (Bang Your Head & Sweden Rock) and one still pending (Skogsröjet)  and I came to think about this when looking at all my festival wristbands. I love them, first one is from Peace&Love 2007. I love them, and actually, whenever talking about a show and not remembering what year or date it was, I just look at my wristbands. Cause yeah sure, this band says “Rockweekend 2010” but that wristband also reminds me of EVERY show 2010. It’s a complicated communication system in my brain, haha, but fuck, it’s awesome.

But sometimes, they annoy the hell outta me, especially Sonisphere 2010 and Skogsröjet 2011. They have this massive black things. What the hell is up with that, so messed up it ain’t even funny. So sometimes I just wanna fucking rip them off. But that’s a no can do, because I love them more than I hate them.

Peace & Love 2007, 2008, 2009 | Sweden Rock 2008, 2010 | Rockweekend 2010 | Sonisphere 2010 | Skogsröjet 2011 | Christmas Metal Fetival 2011

Okay… now that was confusing and messed up. Bed next.

This with audiences..

Posted in Tankar och funderingar, Uncategorized on December 11, 2011 by Sara Hammerzmith

I’m watching the Monster Ball Tour on DVD right now (One of the best tours I’ve ever seen, I swear to god…) and I’m looking at the audience, only to find a little little click in the front middle is you know, freaking out, or how to put it.

Lady Gaga screams JUMP FOR ME NEW YORK, yet it’s still only that click… What is that? Why aren’t the rest of the audience jumping and shit? I can give the seats a break – sometimes the rules says you can’t stand up and such, so that you sit, thats fine. But you others, what the heck?

And then I think about the concerts I go to oftently myself. Most of the time people are grooving pretty good, but something I noticed… it’s almost only the boys! Did you ever think of that? I have a few few girl friends who do freak it out (apart from my Lordigirls that is), but they are like… 2…. or 3…. Why doesn’t girls do it? Do anyone have the answer to that? Please let me know…

Me and my (lordi)girls always do it. So hard, that we barely even remember the show itself. We are sober as fuck, but because we are grooving it and freaking it and working it, we barely remember shit. From Lichtenfels, and Helsinki (Stala&SO), the only parts I TRULY remember were the songs I watched upside down, because I haven’t figured out how to jump while hanging upside down. Or headbang, but I still work my arms. Always. In Lichtenfels guys were even intimidated by the way me and my girls works it, and thats not right you know.

Girls ,what the fuck. Stop care about your fucking hair and nails, and work it! Its soooo much more fun at the gigs, as well as it is sooo much more fun for the band. And for the rest of us.

Now I’m gonna sit back with my DVD again, stretch my slayerneck and get it ready for Jedward, Sister, Hardcore Superstar, Crashdiet, Hollywood Burnouts and HammerFall that is awaiting us in the beginning of next year. We have seats on Crüe you see, so I dont think there will bemuch slayernecking there…

HammerFall… part 2.

Posted in Uncategorized on December 9, 2011 by Sara Hammerzmith

So yes… that was that… That was 2007. Let’s head on.

The year 2008 was an empty year for my HammerFalling, it was also the year Joacim Cans were in Clash of the Choirs, maybe you remember? Either way, he won the whole shit, and I saw his choir live on Sweden Rock, else, thats everything…

2009, on the other hand, it happened a little more. To begin with, they released their album “No Sacrifice, No Victory” – the album that today is my favourite album. It’s just a notch ahead of “Threshold”, and it’s personally the two albums I myself like the best in context, if you know what I mean? From the previous releases I only have a few faves on each album, but like the overall context so to speak, but when it comes to “No Sacrifice” and “Threshold” we ain’t talking about small picks, I enjoy EACH and EVERY song to the fullest, and also alone. Having “No Sacrifice” a bit ahead. My absolute favourites on the albums though are “Any Means Necessary”, “Bring The Hammer Down” and the cover song “My Sharona”. It was a nice surprise to see HammerFall sing… that… kind of lyrics, if you know what I mean.

But yes, on the releaseday it was the first time I ever “met” HammerFall. They had a signingsession the same day AC/DC played in Stockholm on their Black Ice tour, lucky shot there really! So since we were there anyway, we took the oppurtunity to go there (my mum and I) to get some signatures.

Yes.. well… yes! After this I went to the AC/DC show, one of the most marvellous shows I have ever seen!

It would come to show, in March, that 2009 seems to have hold the best tours. It was on March 28th we destined for Gothenburg and Any Tour Necessary. Support this time? Bullet and Sabaton. And the audience did not leave after Sabaton, haha! Sorry, just had to.

But yes. The show. It was… marvellous. Magical. It was holograms and waterfalls and various epic lightshows, almost one of each show. This has become to be, of what I’ve seen, my favourite show I’ve seen of them. Sorry for not having proper pictures to show you, they just vanished somehow… but here are some stripes taken from my review.

Well… yes. After this we saw them at Sweden Rock.. where I had an incident with Fredrik and Joacim hahaha…. and then later on I saw them on Kulturkalaset in Gothenburg. It’s not so much to say about this you know, since its just… Yes. The two latter ones were “classic” festivalshows you know, so it ain’t much to say. And I don’t even have picture to show, what the hell is up with that… Oh well.

In 2010 I was so much “away” from them I didn’t even notice at first they were confirmed for Sonisphere, but Iwas fucking glad they were! It was also this awkward moment when you the first day go and see Crashdiet and then the day after go see HammerFall… Hahaha. But it was well good, but yes. Festivalset, and It ain’t much to comment about them you know. And they were playing pretty early on the day, when it hadn’t started to rain so much just yet.

And then we find ourselves in 2011. “Infected” were released… which is a good album, but in my personal opinion doesn’t reach the rockets of “No Sacrifice” or “Threshold”. But it ain’t bad, not at all. I can’t say yet which is my favourite song, because I didn’t get the album on the releaseday, you see, so I haven’t gotten into it so much just yet.

I had planned to see the Outbreak tour in Gothenburg at first, but plans got changed when I randomly, on my own blog haha, saw that HammerFall had been confirmed for Christmas Metal Meeting, where we were already headed to see Lordi. It was one of these moments you just go ahead and do a victorydance. The day came, and I wacthed the show with my bestest friends. The setlist were pretty much “festival” I must say, but I can’t be entirely sure yet, since I haven’t seen a proper Outbreak show just yet. Lightshow was cool, but not like Any Tour Necessary.

But it is planned, in March next year actually, and that was decided today. So in a few months, I’ll be able to tell you for sure if I like the Outbreak tour better than Any Tour Necessary, and maybe I could do a bit more.. discussion out of it then.

But until then, remember to GET HEAVY and STAY HEAVY!

Oh wait. That was Lordi… but what the fuck.
