Hardcore Superstar

Posted in Concerts, Uncategorized on November 13, 2011 by Sara Hammerzmith

Ahh, I missed this! It’s only a few weeks since my last concert, sure, but still, this is kinda where I belong you know. You get there, get in, visit the bathroom repack alotta shit to limit what you bring into the arena, and then just go inside and hit front row, and for this occasion, right infront of Jocke. Were there together with the very best Maria, later companied by Hanna and Nikke and one more friend I don’t remember the name of. Was a pretty fun night… Or… I’ll get back to that later. Keep in mind though dear readers, that actual reviews of the gigs are put up on hå, so this isn’t really a full review more… look-at-our-night-kind-of-thing.

Ammotrack was the first band to hit the stage, and you, it’s that sad moment when it’s only… seven people in the audience. Must say though, together with a blackhaired guy, Maria and I were the ones getting it going, and they well noticed it! Pretty good band though, but I can’t say I fell for it, so to speak.

After Ammotrack it actually started to get some kind of audience when Avatar was entering… I need to widen my own views, I was going in for it as “I don’t like this band.” Like, big time.  Sad part is, once a band facinates me, I’m hooked. No matter genre, and so was also the case with Avatar. At first I was like, wait what, this doesn’t fit with Hardcore Superstar at all, I mean, NOT AT ALL. And the singer was kind of insane, he marched on the spot and kept hitting a stick in the speaker, again, again, again… Scared me a bit, I was just waiting for him to swing it to the audience like Lordi’s granny does. But he never did, and despite the lack of song, he, and the band, facinated me, and now I’m hooked.  Lovely stuff, and I think most of my friends never thought I’d like a band as them.

The light on Nöjes doesn’t cooperate with my camera really… oh well. Really, the pressure started to get really heavy now before Hardcore Superstar, and thats what I wanted to talk about.

I’ve been to many shows. I’ve been in front row on gigs with 20,000 people behind me, I’ve also stood behind those 20,000, been one of four in an audience and so on. And I know, when in front row, there are pressure from behind, I know that. I also know you can never leave a concert without bruises.  But there are fucking limits on how much pressure there can be. Last night… was extremly extraordinary, and this is why I completly hate to go to concerts in Karlstad. It feels like it’s 100 fans there, and the rest is just people happening to end up there, and then ruining it for us. Because, I can honestly say, I only experience those kinds of things on Nöjesfabriken, it was the same when we saw Crashdiet there. We went from there extremly molested, and it wasn’t even funny yesterday. Today, I could barely get out of bed, because I have injuried both knees, both elbows and also my ribs, so I can’t stand steady on my knees, I can’t lift myself on the elbows, and I can’t bend.
These kinds of injuries, I ONLY get at Nöjesfabriken, and once on Sigurdsgatan. What the hell is wrong with people in this town? Take it easy, PLEASE.

Okay, moving on to Hardcore Superstar.

It was a fine gig. I mean… eh.. the setlist kind of disappointed me, or maybe, possibly, did I have way too much expectations on them, being the three weeks of madness and all, but I was still a bit disappointed. I really missed “We Don’t Need A Cure”… But as a liveband, they were great, as usual really. The only major thing that happened was when Jocke ran out during “Moonshine”, leaving the audience sing the whole song with the band alone. We later learned that Jocke had been out to throw up, haha nice one.  But yes, in general, a good gig. I love how, at the end, Vic [Zino] kept throwing a bunch of picks to me, but I’m lousy at catching them and didn’t get a single one of the ones he threw. But thanks to Maria, who poked the guard, she managed to get me one. Haha, I love her!

Talking about ‘Moonshine’, or wait.. don’t talk about moonshine… No but seriously, there was this extremly annoying guy who were first all over me and I pushed him away, then he started to be all over Maria and I pushed him away, and even threatened him with my camera (I may love it, but I won’t hesitate to use it as a weapon). Even the guards asked him to back off. And then, when ‘Moonshine’ started, he poked me again and said “Oh? Is it really this one?”

I mean. The audience (and Jocke) sang “Don’t talk about MOONSHINE…”. Of course it ain’t ‘Moonshine’! This is obviously ‘Bag On Your Head’! If you can’t even recognize ‘Moonshine’ who is one of the more odd songs of HCSS, and actually have to ask someone, you shouldn’t be there. No, not at all. And you shouldn’t talk to me about it either.

But yes. Over all, I must say I had a really good evening. After the show we got ourselves something to drink, I mean, the dehydration you get during a concert is not to play with! We hit the merchstand too and I can now officially say I got my very first Hardcore Superstar shirt! And being so proud.  We also took a way by the guys in Avatar, having Maria taking a real hot picture with the REAL hot singer! Hoho!

Best tonite: Avatar! That awkward moment when the supportband is better than the headliner you know…
Worst: The nomadic audience. Give me a break. There ARE some limits.

Rock n Roll Train

Opening track off AC/DC’s “Black Ice”, I guess also the inspiration by the kickass and epic stage AC/DC ha don the tour back in 2009, with the giant locomotive you remember? Epic stuff.

Today is the day.

Well, firstly it IS the 11/11/11, and in just any minute it’s even 11:11, so this is double epic haha, but no, today is the day. You probably remember I’ve been talking alot about these three weeks being epic, three weeks of gigs as I call it, well, it ain’t gigs every day for three weeeks obviously, but it’s one gig each weekend, today it’s Hardcore Superstar on their “The Party Ain’t Over Til We Say So” tour. Next week it’s Stala&SO. + Honey Hellraiser (I kinda notice a pattern here…) and then beautifully wrapping up with Lichtenfels and Christmas Metal Meeting.

But tonight, I’m actually staying here in my hometown, no need to travel any further than like what ten minutes or something.  But before that; University library and stable!

Ain’t the best picture I’ve taken, but it’s from my last HCSS concert, at Skogsröjet

Motherfuckers Like You

Sister tune, and it’s like I said earlier about the whole album, it’s perfect in a little box!

You know, I’m on skype with Martine right now, talking about Lichtenfels. Funnily, this song reminds me of one of the persons who will be present… Haha, nevertheless, Lichtenfels will be epic, which is in less than two weeks!

This kinda stresses and boosts me, I spent my hours at work today, while working obviously, setting up an exact schedule on exactly how to spend my time until the day we leave for Lichtenfels, and hopefully it will work out just as planned! And if it does, it mean I’ll be able to manage everything, EVERYTHING. Life is goo, and as we speak, Martine and ‘i have continued planning a bit on what me and Thomas planned for 2012, so yes. It is good now.

I actually wanted to say something. Ever since upper secondary school, I’ve wanted to study music and event management, I even found one USS with that program, but my parents wouldn’t let me go. However, I know found a univeristy course of the same matter, so after I’m done att KAU, it’s possible I’ll apply for it. But that means I have to move. Far away. And I don’t really know about that… but I guess we will see!

Now I shall head back to The Big Bang Theory. SEE YAH.

The Party Ain’t Over Til I Say So.

Posted in Uncategorized on November 9, 2011 by Sara Hammerzmith

Today has been great, so great I’m not even putting out a song here right now.

New course have kicked off, giving me new energy. The time in the Stable with Maria was kickass, so much fun, and the amount of time I managed to spend with Lady Axa was just… amazing.
Thomas and I have made up epic plans for New Years Eve at Martines.

So what I wanted to say was, life is good now. REAL GOOD.

Lady Axa and I during the madness in the stable. Maria’s the epic photographer.

The party ain’t over til I say so
And I feel good tonight
I’m just getting started and I hate you
I just might start a fight
Need nobodys filthy hands
Taking care of me tonight
I’ll be just fine

Ps. The Pic kinda describes how I feel right now.

Too Bad For You

The thing with this album, is that it’s perfect, alright. Everything on this album, “Hated” is just perfect, I don’t even…

Actually, haha, I didn’t even think about the fact I was gonna write about my Sister shirt as a Sister song came on…  Either way.

Thing is, I can’t make up my mind on what to do with it. I need it for Helsinki next week, but I refuse to keep it as it is. But I as well, I don’t know what to do with it.

At first I had this over epic planning on what to do with it, but I became unsure. The over epic thing is making slighlty many holes, not like Jamies shirt for you who might think, but instead of / of just cutting open the cleveage, I figured I could do cuts on the side, on the back, under and overbust.

Question is. Do or don’t? SUGG PLEASE!

Do Anything You Wanna Do

Posted in Uncategorized on November 6, 2011 by Sara Hammerzmith

One of my favourite Michael Monroe songs. Mike is all party really, I feel so good from his music and the concert of his was one of the best I have seen in a long long time.

Concerts are the best really.  First of all, you get to hear great music played live by the bands you love, cause I taketh for granted you go to concerts that is at least within your most liked music. Second, you get to share the moment (as last years Eurovisions slogan was) with people who love the same music as you, and probably love concerts and such just as much as you, allowing you to get new great friends.

I also love the lifestyle that comes with it. Maybe its just me (and my friends) who does it like this, a little trashy a little sleazy, living out in the streets looking like we’ve been on dope for many years. Without having, just wanted to make that clear. This makes it extremly cheap to go to concerts really – the shows in Finland I’ve been too, have always stayed under two grands, that including all busses, food, flights, merch and what not. And isn’t that really the best. The more the merrier, right?

Sitting on the trainfloor in Finland, just because we can.

This rises a question really. From time to time I don’t know what to write about. And considering I have at least a few people returning here everyday, tell me, what do YOU want to read about? It could be anything – concertmemories, tips on how to go cheaply to concerts, horsememories, The Sims-memories, Favourite CD’s.. I don’t know! SUGGESTIONS PLEASE! All of you.

Animal Attraction

Opening track on the most recent Reckless Love CD, and seriously, it’s perfect… EVEN the cheesy lyrics is just.. perfect. PARTHEY.

I seriously feel like a biomechanic man right now. This is what stablework do to you…  Good grief.  Good thing I’m working tomorrow again! Or wait…

Either way, while discussing clothes from Gina Tricot with Sara (yes, how long does clothing stay from them? Found a few pieces I really want, but I hesitate to buy before Djermani...) I realized that just next week, the madness kind of kicks off. Hardcore Superstar on friday with Maria, Finland the week after that and then the long planned and long wanted… Djermani. The time will pass so fast during the weeks, I promise…

Does anyone by the way know wether you are allowed or not to have drinks(unalcoholic) in your CHECKED IN luggage on the airport? Or do we have to buy that in Frankfurt? We figured we’d have some sort of chilling out time when we get to Lichtenfels, and considering we come to Lichtenfels around 10pm, mostly EVERYTHING (But Paunchy Cats?!) will be closed… So bringing it from Sweden it is!

But okay. No more boring, I’ll give you one of the greater Van Canto songs instead.

We Don’t Need A Cure

Posted in Uncategorized on November 4, 2011 by Sara Hammerzmith

The new Hardcore Superstar tune, fucking love it. They should play it together with “Bully”, would be epic as hell.

Okay, today my life became kind of complete.

You know, whenever I go to the stables and get a horse I’m not expecting, thats a huge mindfuck and I always go raging, at least on the inside. So I got to the stable today, I even brought Maria to film Donna Mays epic heavy metal moves, so I checked the first paper – well theory, as expected, then I looked at the other paper.

The first thing I noticed was that it wasn’t Donna’s name on the list. Raging begins. “What the hell? Why don’t I have Donna, why have they given me… ” *looks closer* “Sara – Lady Axa”.

Wait. Wait, Maria, does it say Lady Axa? Like, FOR REAL? Myes. It did. All raging just stopped for a moment. MY BABYGIRL. ASJDLASJDSALJDALJ <- Thats what I felt, literally.

Theory went well.. I don’t even know what it’s called in english, but what we did was to drive the horses like you do in trotraces, but without a wagon… haha, how lame it sounds, there is probably a more proper word for it, but I guess you understand. Maria and I had Winerva – or as we call her now, The Fork Horse, mainly because she has a fork on top of her white stripe. Or I think it looks somewhat like a devils fork. So ok, we have the Fork Horse and the Salmon. Went pretty good, Forky was nicer than I’d expected her to be!

Then we had the ponyriding.. alltså hahaha. Everyone in the ‘stablegroup’ had a pony each and it was just.. hahahaha. That’s really all there is to say, first of all we rode bareback and had a few games, then trying out a “Captains Turnover” on the horseback, and the other ones cantered without any reins. Was pretty fun lesson haha, but the main reason was really because it was with my babyhorse. God how I’ve missed her.

Like I said, insane day. Tomorrow awaits stablework, so does Sunday and I’ll just keep listen to Hardcore Superstar just for another moment. We Don’t Celebrate Sundays aye?

Heeding The Call – GWAR.

Posted in Uncategorized on November 3, 2011 by Sara Hammerzmith

Ah, the nostalgia when put on HammerFall! One of the Songs I like the best.

Today we had our first TV crew meeting.. And yeah well, it could have gone better really! Haha, first ten – twenty minutes we were just HALLO ARE YOU THERE constantly. But I think we managed to get a start somewhat after a while, and we will keep working on it.

But I wanna talk about something completly different. About GWAR.

Today we learned that GWAR’s guitarist Cory Smoot AKA Flattus Maximus have passed away.

This shocked me. I heard about it a few hours ago, and I’m still speechless. It’s… People who knows me knows about my rather hatred towards GWAR, but I’d never wish someone dead, and a band should never have to go through this. GWAR, family & friends of Cory – I’m so sorry for your loss.

So, what I wanted to say was, May you Rest In Peace, Flattus! You will be missed.

Last Night Of The Kings

Posted in Uncategorized on November 2, 2011 by Sara Hammerzmith

Van Canto, pretty awesome band. I just purely love this song and the feeling it gives you.. Gah!

Today’s been gooo. Was supposed to go to the library to make the last blogentry, however, I managed to loan the book, so did that instead. Tomorrow’s the last day, and I’m kinda nervous about it. The course and the communication hasn’t worked out so well, but my mother said that the worst thing that can happen is that I’ll have to retake the course next year. And honestly, how horrible is that? Not at all to be honest, haha.

Like I said yesterday, went to the stable to see Julia, was so cool to see her again! And I’ll probably see her on the next break too, and by that time we will probably even ride together with her! That will be kickass.

Okay, now it’s three weeks left ’til we hit it off to Germany for a couple of days of decadence, and I was planning to get new speakers to my iPod… however, I managed to find my old one AND realizing it actually worked pretty well, so decided I’ll bring that one instead of a big CD player! And it will be kickass for summerfestivals… ahh! I can’t wait to kick stuff off! I really have the bestest of friends, bestest company ever, I can’t wait to get on the road again.

From my birthdayparty this year. Love you all, even yoy who aren’t on the picture.

No, what about submitting those reviews…

See yah!
