They Only Come Out At Night
One of the three singles off “The Arockalypse”. Not their best really, not their worst, but then again – The Arockalypse in general is my least favourite anyway.
This little sign means that whatever I’m writing in this entry, will spoil Lordis Europe for Breakfast tour 2010, so if you don’t want to see spoilers, you should stop read like, now!
Alrite, so they had their first couple of shows by now, in Russia and I’m not sure they could use all their props but oh well. The setlist… I mean, FIRST I have to say that I couldn’t love them more for FINALLY include “My Heaven Is Your Hell”. It is my all time favourite Lordi song, and I’ve wanted it live ever since 2006 (however I figured I’d never get it, since the Monsterican Dream Era has passed) but now it’s finally in. And I’m glad they included “Nonstop Nite” from “Babez For Breakfast”. Its my favourite. But over all, the setlist is kinda boring. I miss “Midnite Lover”, “Devils Lullaby” and “Call Of The Wedding”. For some reason they stuck with “It Snows In Hell”, which I don’t get? Even “Evilyn” is better… AND WHERE IS HATE AT FIRST SIGHT?!
I love the props though. I love the fact the Heavy Metal dude became real, I love the idea of an electrical chair for “Rock Police” and the granny… she is insane!!! I really don’t wanna be in front row now, haha! Otus is great too, stings a bit, but he is great. Yeah… what more is there to say.. Yeah well, I think, or it seems, like things just went awfully wrong for Lordi during the Babez era, you know? Otus costume is just… something picked togheter, the setlist isn’t perfect (they have done better I mean) and it’s just poorly planned (apparently Otus is doing the samurai thing Kita used to do? WTF?)
Hopefully it gets better. I guess we will see.
